Police officers at Southlake realized that fining violators was not enough, so they came up with a sassy plan. Apart from issuing parking tickets, they began attaching a page in which violators could practice how to stay within the lines by coloring a photo of the police department's badge.
"We noticed you had a little trouble staying in the lines when you parked next to a handicapped space… maybe if you practice coloring our patch and staying in the lines here, it could help you avoid citations in the future", the message said. The note went viral and received widespread public approval.
