On top of that, the residence houses nearly half a million photos, not to mention the endless list of sculptures, books, and even carriages. The so-called Queen's Gallery harbors some of these pieces of art and it's open to the public.

For every palace in the world, there are rumors of ghosts and spirits roaming around its halls at nighttime. And obviously, Buckingham Palace is no exception.
Several decades ago, a private secretary of King Edward VIII killed himself inside the building after divorcing his wife. Legend has it that the sound of the gunshot can still be heard at night in the very same room where the tragic event took place.

Did you know that Buckingham Palace harbors a whopping 775 rooms? It should come as no surprise that many of them aren't even used, but how many of them are left to spare?
According to people who have worked in the residence, the Queen only uses 6 of the palace's rooms; namely, her bedroom, bathroom, dressing room, sitting room, waiting room, and Audience room. What about the other 669 rooms? Only God knows.
