An Honest, Hard-Working Cop
Thacker's heart was thumping as he saw officer Jenkins approach her, but it turned out he only wanted to let her know that her brake lights were out. Thacker was relieved yet also surprised, because Firestone had recently charged her $600 to perform a test on the wiring of her vehicle.

Jenkins offered to help Thatcher and asked her to open her trunk. He began fidgeting with the lights, but even after tapping them, they still wouldn't turn on. He then asked her to pop the hood in order to check the relay box. It was definitely Thatcher's lucky day: not only did the officer fix the lights, but she didn't have to pay a fine or a repair! It's a good thing there are still some honest, hard-working cops out there!
