Police Officer Saves Student From Choking

Taking Action

Police officer Roger Caron was patrolling the hallways of Pascack Hills HJigh School in Montvale just like any other day. The schools in the district have employed police officers to patrol campuses since 2017 due to security threats, so it was normal to see an officer in the halls.

However, Caron was trained to protect students from an emergency such as a violent person trying to hurt them and he never thought he would actually save someone's life for an entirely different reason. He spotted a girl who was losing her breath and looked like she was about to collapse. He quickly realized she was choking and performed the Heimlich maneuver on her. The girl was saved thanks to his quick action.
