It Gets Better
Mahlon was new at school and was trying to make friends, but it wasn't easy. None of the six kids he invited to his party RSVPe'd, but he still hoped someone would show up. Unfortunately, nobody came. His mother was so angry and hurt that she wrote a blog post that ended up going viral. Titled "Parents, Please Don’t Forget To RSVP".
Her post made a point about how parents should consider kids' feelings and teach their own children to be kind and polite. Many people agreed and even the author of Diary of a Wimpy Kid was touched by Mahlon's story and flew his family out to meet him. Hopefully, those parents learned from their mistake.
