#20. Car Impaled By Logs
A man was driving along an empty road in Georgia, when his car was suddenly impaled by logs after rear-ending a logging truck. But what happened then?
While this photo may seem totally fake, its 100% real. The logs crushed the car's windshield and extended all the way out the rear window. The guy was lucky enough to escape the accident with only minor injuries.
#19. Almonst Eaten By Whale
While most whales aren't nearly as dangerous as sharks or orcas, you should still keep away from them. Let's just say that tour operator Rainer Schimpf learned his lesson the hard way.
He was taking pictures at a mass of sardines in South Africa's waters, when he was suddenly scooped up by a whale. He was stuck inside the creature's mouth for a few seconds, but luckily enough, the whale spat him out back to the water.
#18. Skating On Top Of A Skyscraper
If you're afraid of heights, then you better skip this one. Born and raised in Hong Kong, Cheung Jai is an amateur skater that loves practicing tricks on top of the country's highest skyscrapers.
One day, he took things to the next level, balancing himself on the very edge of the building, with 80% of his skateboard flying in the air. If you ask me, one more inch and he would've fallen into the void.
#17. Man Loses Control Of Chainsaw
We all love trying out some DIY, am I right? After all, it does give you a very fulfilling sense of accomplishment. However, dangerous items should be kept out of the equation, and this definitely includes chainsaws. Especially if you lack the adequate safety equipment!
This man learned it the hard way, as he was nearly killed while trying to take a chainsaw to his ceiling, for some incomprehensible reason. If you check out the footage, it's obvious from the very start that he had no clue what he was doing, but one thing's for sure: he definitely didn't see that kickback coming!
#16. Nearly Crushed By Falling Building
Roads are dangerous places, and that's a fact. It doesn't matter whether you're at the driver's seat or a pedestrian, you never know when a traffic accident will put your life at risk. But what happened to this family is beyond believable.
The person inside this car was traveling past a quiet, empty road at a gentle speed, but little did he imagine that he was moments away from being crushed by a giant falling building. Just a couple of seconds later, the giant chunks of concrete come falling down out of nowhere. Yikes!
#15. Man Nearly Falls Off Gap Bridge
One of the scariest and most extreme attractions in China is the famous Gap Bridge, where tourists must cross a series of separated planks 450 feet above a mountain gorge. Even though this sounds like a deadly feat, tourists are attached to a safety railing with a harness, so there isn't much danger involved.
But for this man, crossing the gap bridge became a real near-death experience. As he hit the very last plank on the opposite end of the bridge, the safety harness unclipped itself, meaning he could've easily fallen freely into the void. Luckily, he had almost reached the other end by the time this happened.
#14. Skater Nearly Hit By Car
Skateboarding is one of the most popular games worldwide, and while mothers are usually afraid that their kids will get hurt, it's really not that dangerous. For this young skater, however, the game became way more extreme than planned.
After pulling off an impressive grind down a tall rail, the skater managed to land an even crazier trick when he dodged a car that came speeding towards him out of nowhere. He was one inch away from death!
#13. Deadly Flying Piece Of Metal
If you're a fan of the Final Destination movies like I am, then you're probably aware of the fact that anything can pose a potential threat to our lives. But in spite of that, what happened to this driver is beyond believable.
One is always aware that something can go wrong while driving, but what you don't expect is to be killed by a giant chunk of metal that flies out of nowhere and breaks through your windshield.
#12. Steward Trips In Formula 1 Track
Formula 1 is definitely one of the most dangerous competitions in the world, and that's what makes it so exciting. The pilots drive as fast as they can, meaning that there's a risk of a deadly collision at virtually any moment.
However, the stewards in charge of getting the debris off the tracks in the middle of the car race are the ones who have the most dangerous job. This steward made the silliest mistake possible after tripping on nothing in the middle of the track, and just as he tried to dodge the upcoming race car, he tripped again!
#11. Biker Nearly Hit By Train
One would think that people understand that a huge metal vehicle that travels over 40 miles an hour can be extremely dangerous, but apparently this is not always the case. And this guy proves just how important it is to keep your eyes open when you're near a train.
If you check the footage on YouTube, you'll see that the biker was cautious at first, as he patiently waited for the first train to go by. But then, everything nearly went horribly wrong. A second train passed by, and while it was much easier for him to move back a few inches, he kept going forwards and was nearly run over.
#10. Toddler Nearly Attacked By Ram
Nature is full of surprises, but sometimes, those surprises are a little bit more than what we bargained for. This 2-year-old toddler was tottering along a field in New Zealand, when suddenly, he was nearly attacked by an unexpected creature.
In the video, you can see the kid playing with some chickens, but it's not the chickens what seem to be the problem. Suddenly, out of nowhere, a furious ram starts racing towards him at top speed, but luckily the little boy's mom was nearby and saved him just in time.
#9. Skier Nearly Crashed By Drone
Drones are a piece of modern technology that have enormous potential, but it appears to be they're not totally perfect yet. This is a lesson that professional skier Marcel Hirscher learned while skiing down the icy slopes at a competition in Italy.
Just as he was racing past the hurdles, Hirscher was almost crushed by a professional drone that was meant to capture aerial footage of the tournament. The craziest part is that the man kept going and finished the race before finding out he had almost been killed.
#8. Bike Racer Cheats Death
Bike racers can reach speeds of 180 mph, but it doesn't come without a risk. Professional motorcycle racers are prone to accidents, and that's what happened to a racer at a drag race at the Santa Pod Motorway a few years ago.
During a race between two bikers, one of them crashed into the other at maximum speed. Fortunately for him, the biker was flung off his bike and landed on the wheelie bar of his rival, while his own bike crashed and burst into flames. He may not have won the race, but cheating death is enough victory!
#7. Man Nearly Killed By Flying Ax
Ever heard of the phrase "leave it to the pros"? Well, let's just say people should stick to that rule more often. Every now and then, there's this one person who tries something extremely dangerous without having a clue about what he or she is doing, and here's a clear example.
These guys were throwing an ax full force against the wall, which is actually a real game, but you've gotta master the technique before trying it. The guy didn't throw it right, and so the ax bounced back and nearly smacked him. Thanks to his incredible reflexes, the man grabbed the ax at its right end just in time.
#6. Cyclist Almost Crushed By Tree
This very lucky cyclist was peacefully riding along a quiet street when he was almost killed in the most unlikely of ways. But unlike many of the previous cases, it wasn't his fault at all!
Due to a group of irresponsible workers who were cutting down a tree right next to the open road, the cyclist was nearly crushed by a falling trunk. Come on, close down the street next time people!
#5. Car Nearly Crushed By Boulder
Driving along a highway in the middle of a rainstorm is always risky, but this family never expected what they were about to witness. They were driving along Taiwan's northern coast, when suddenly, this happened.
The storming rain triggered a landslide, and as a result, a giant boulder suddenly came racing down out of nowhere. The family was just a few inches away of being crushed by that hundred-ton rock.
#4. Miracle At Ax-Throwing Bar
Remember the man who was nearly killed by an ax at #7? Well, here's a similar story. A woman named Ainsley Rae went to an ax-throwing bar with her boyfriend and tried to give it a shot, but the game almost ended in tragedy.
The girl definitely had no clue as to what she was doing, only in this case, the girl didn't catch the ax with her hand like the guy did. Instead, she bent down just in time before the ax hit her right in the skull.
#3. Man And Rabbit Survive Avalanche
It's a widely known fact that your chances of surviving an avalanche are pretty slim. Did you know that the consistency of settling snow is pretty much the same as settling concrete? Bearing this in mind, it's pretty amazing that not only a man but also a rabbit got to escape this avalanche on time.
Actually, the case of the rabbit is even crazier. After looking at the footage, one can't help but wonder whether that rabbit had already done this before, as he miraculously manages to stay on top of the wave of snow right across the width of the avalanche, and makes it out the other side.
#2. Worker Almost Crushed By Crane
It's always advisable to remain cautious at all times, and that especially goes for those who work at dangerous environments, such as when a house is being demolished. You should always pay attention to the details, such as having a giant crane above your head.
This worker probably didn't expect the crane bucket to fall off the crane in a matter of a second, but standing underneath it was hardly a good idea. Luckily for him, the bucket crashed against the ground just a few inches next to him.
#1. Nearly Crushed By Tower Clock
These very lucky construction workers were repairing the clock of a clock-tower at Purdue University, when they experienced a true near-death experience. Due to a mistake while being lifted by a crane into the 160-foot-high tower, the clock came tumbling down.
But even though the clock was literally on top of them, the giant structure bounced off a small section of the railing between the two workers. If not, they're heads would've been smashed. So, which of the people on this list do you think was the luckiest?
