The Reunion
Gert Berliner escaped Nazi Germany when he was just a child. He took only his toy monkey with him, and as far as he was concerned, his entire family was killed. Decades after, he donated his toy monkey to a museum in Berlin.
A museum visitor, who also had the last name "Berliner", thought it was familiar, so she contacted Gert. As it turns out, they were long-lost cousins. His brother had also made it out alive and escaped to Sweden, where he got married and had kids. They all reunited after almost 80 years and are now as close as ever.
