In his short story The Pedestrian, self-driving police cars patrolled the city, and as crazy as it sounds, such cars already exist in Dubai.
#2. Mobile Phones
Does the Communicator from Star Trek ring a bell? This electronic device was used by the Starfleet commanders to communicate with each other and audiences saw it for the first time in 1966.
Curiously enough, by that time engineers were already working to create the world's first mobile phone, although the world had to wait until 1973 for this gadget to hit the market.
#1. Smart Watches
If you never watched The Jetsons when you were a child, then either you or your parents lived under a rock. Although the show's universe sounded absolutely fictional and surreal, they did predict quite a few things.
For instance, little Elroy Jetson would always sport a watch that streamed video and that allowed him to communicate with his family. Half a century later, digital watches came to the market!
