These Brilliant Hacks Will Help You Make The Most Of Your Groceries

Homemade Apple Cider Vinegar

If you're struggling with eating a bunch of apples or if you're one of the few lucky people to have their very own apple tree, making your own apple cider vinegar from scraps might be a great solution!

You will need apple peelings (and/or its cores), sugar and water... It's a fairly simple recipe you'll find in no time. You can use it to make salad dressings, ketchup, and even hair rinses!

Herb-Infused Olive Oil

Next time you're wondering what to do with leftover herb and spices that are simply not enough to use them in a meal, try adding them to your olive oil.

This will retain the essence of the herbs and you'll be left with a fragrant, rich oil to make your favorite meals. You can use rosemary, thyme, oregano, or any other herb you like, even garlic!

Freeze Your Veggies

This is one of the greatest tips I learned when I moved out. If you have too many fruits or veggies to eat within the first days of your trip to the groceries, you can freeze them to keep them fresh.

However, you can always purchase a bit more than you'll eat, chop it and store it in the freezer. That way you'll always have your ingredients ready to cook.
