Hero Of The Day
Tyra was participating in a homecoming rally when the crowd started screaming. She gazed around and soon realized that a toddler had choked on a piece of candy and could no longer breathe. His mother tried to help, but she lacked basic E.R. skills, as did the rest of the witnesses.
That's when Tyra stepped in. The teenager had learned how to perform the Heimlich Manouvre, a special technique used to save lives in the event of asfixia, so she jumped off the float and resorted to her E.R. skills to save the kid's life. The boy eventually spat out the candy, turning Tyra into a real-life heroine!
