It turns out that Renee had secretly performed many medical procedures on children despite never having obtained a doctor's license.
However, the truth was unveiled when the regional health officer carried out an unannounced inspection. They discovered that the facility lacked an updated license registration and many contagious tuberculosis patients were kept with regular patients. Eventually, a lawsuit was filed against the organization and Renee was forced to return to the United States.
