America Ferrera & Lindsay Lohan
The ABC series Ugly Betty aired from 2006 to 2010, starring America Ferrera, Eric Mabius, Alan Dake and Tony Plane. It based on Fernando Gaitán’s Colombian novel soap opera called Yo Soy Betty, La Fea. It revolves around the life of Betty Suarez, a lady without a fashion sense but has a good heart and works at a fashion magazine.
Actress Lindsay Lohan was asked to guest star at some point. As we know from the news and tabloids, she was having a hard time dealing with her personal problems. Her role was supposed to last for six episodes but at the end she was only in four. What are the reasons behind it? Everyone was very mad at her because she smoked constantly and some people said she even damaged the walls of her dressing room. America Ferrera was particularly offended by her attitude.
James Franco & Tyrese Gibson
The film Annapolis was released in 2006 and featured two talented and well-known actors: James Franco and Tyrese Gibson. The story is simple, it revolves around Jake Huard, whose dream is to attend the United States Naval Academy. Like many films, this plot was not very controversial but what happened between Franco and Gibson put the film under the public eye.
Don’t worry, this is not a spoiler. In the film, there are many fighting scenes between Franco and Gibson. Some actors prepared themselves many months before their roles in order not to hurt their co-starts. Well, Franco used a new method that Gibson didn’t know. Gibson felt that Franco was fighting with him for real. In fact, after the release of the movie, Gibson said that the boxing scenes were terrible and painful.
Faye Dunaway & Roman Polanski
Director Roman Polanski is well-known because of his trajectory and magnificent films but also people that worked with him know about his strict method of working. In 1974, he wanted actress Faye Dunaway to work with him in the thriller Chinatown. Dunaway had the role of Mulwray, the complex and dark femme fatale who played games with the detective J.J. Gittes, portrayed by Jack Nicholson.
In the middle of filming, rumors started to go around about a feud between Dunaway and Polanski. Everything collapsed when Polanski pulled Dunaway’s hair because it didn’t go with the lights and also, he didn’t let Dunaway take a break and have a bath. Dunaway stated that Polanski was an autocrat and a manipulator,. But after many years of the release of the film, Dunaway referred to him as a very good and talented director and Polanski said that their feud was not important too. Good to see that they buried the hatchet.
Alyssa Milano & Shannen Doherty
If you were born in the ‘90s perhaps you were a fan of the TV series Charmed, starred by Alyssa Milano and Shannen Doherty. The series told the story of three sisters that were known as The Charmed Ones and were the most powerful witches of all time. Every sister had her own and unique power, and that’s why the three of them were very important to the show.
Fans were shocked by the end of the third season when Prue Halliwell, played by Doherty, was killed by Shax, a demonic assassin. Doherty played the role of the eldest and stronger sister that’s why nobody knew why producers decided to kill the character off. In real life, the actress didn’t get along with her co-star Alyssa Milano who played the role of her sister. After many years, the actresses reunited and nowadays they’re on good terms.
Sean Combs & Jennifer Lopez
J.Lo’s personal life has been always under media scrutiny, especially her marriages and romances. Back in the late-'90s, she started dating record producer and rapper Sean Combs. The pair was one of the most famous and coolest couples in the music world, but everything changed when the couple was arrested along with two other ones after a shooting outside Times Square.
The couple was arrested but J.Lo was soon released. Combs was charged and went to a trial in Manhattan. After this event, J.Lo left Combs. In 2011, she had the opportunity to see the rapper again when producers called him to be a judge on American Idol where J.Lo was also a judge. J.Lo said that if they decided to hire Combs, she would leave the program, which is why Combs was never seen on the show.
Charlie Sheen & Selma Blair
Perhaps you remember the adorable Selma Blair from movies like The Sweetest Thing and Legally Blonde. Blair has a long career in Hollywood in supporting roles but she had the opportunity to be the love interest of Charlie Sheen in the FX series Anger Management. Blair was played the role of Dr. Kate Wales, a neurotic therapist who Sheen’s character was interested in.
Everything seemed to be going fine with Blair but she disappeared from the show after the second season. Sheen said that they had “creative differences” but of course the tabloids didn’t believe that. In fact, Blair decided to file a $1.2 million lawsuit against the show claiming that the rocky relationship between her and Sheen made her leave the show.
Kate Beckinsale & Luke Wilson
When the American thriller film Vacancy was released, the press was very surprised to see that the stars of the movie were Kate Beckinsale and Luke Wilson. At first, the director cast actress Sarah Jessica Parker for the main role but the director realized that Beckinsale and Wilson had more chemistry. Sadly, he was completely wrong.
Beckinsale was very strict with the filming routine and with the scenes they had to shoot. Apparently, Wilson had another way of working. According to some reports, the actress referred to her co-star as a “diva” who liked to do whatever he wanted to and everyone had to be at his feet. Obviously, this couple never worked together again.
Reese Witherspoon & Vince Vaughn
Reese Witherspoon and Vince Vaughn are both talented and famous actors in Hollywood. They have long and successful acting careers and have some of the most recognizable faces in the industry. The couple was cast for the American Christmas comedy Four Christmas in 2008. Like every year, a lot of films with Christmas topics are release and some of them have very good reviews.
This was not the case of this movie that didn’t earn a lot of money and the reviews were not very good. The press noticed the hidden tension between Witherspoon and Vaughn on the scenes, and it’s said that Witherspoon is a very professional actress who takes seriously her job while Vaughn is known for his fresh and carefree way of working.
Paris Hilton & Tina Fey
This historic feud started in 2005 when Paris Hilton was invited as a host in Saturday Night Live, where Tina Fey famously worked. Hilton allegedly didn’t take her job on the show seriously and she was rude to the producers. Also, Hilton didn’t want to play some scenes that were on the script.
In an interview, Fey stated what she thought about Hilton. First, she said that the wasn't smart, and that it was hard to deal with her during SNL because she didn’t want to do anything the producers told her to do. According to Fey’s declaration, Hilton was not a pleasant person to work with it. That must hurt!
Alec Baldwin & Shia LeBeouf
Everyone was excited about the Broadway play Orphans, starring Alec Baldwin and Shia LeBeouf, when it was announced. It was going to be the first play for the young actor, and LeBeouf stated in many interviews before the premiere that he was very excited to act in Broadway for the first time.
But LeBeouf abruptly abandoned the play and the producers said it was because of “creative differences” with Baldwin. As we known, things are not always as actors want us to believe. The young actor tweeted about the issue and said that everyone was on Baldwin's side because he was a more experienced actor. Some rumors said that Baldwin didn’t know the script of the play and LeBeouf complained about this, and that’s why producers decided to let him go.
Martin Lawrence & Tisha Campbell
During the ‘90s, sitcom Martin was very popular and its stars were in the spotlight. Martin Lawrence and Tisha Campbell were the lead actors of the series and many tabloids speculated that there was a secret romance between them. It’s said that the two had an affair but Campbell decided to get married to her boyfriend at that time. Everything ended in a big legal fight after the show was canceled in 1997.
In 1997 Campbell decided to sue her co-star saying that he was very abusive and that he was obsessed with her. Moreover, the actress stated that Lawrence inappropriately touched her during the filming. The trial was resolved with both parts seeing eye to eye. Nowadays, Lawrence still doesn’t want to talk about the lawsuit and says he prefers leave it in the past.
Jennifer Aniston & Leslie Mann
These actresses are considered two of the best comedy actresses of all time. Oddly, we don’t often see them working together in a movie. Maybe you didn’t know that Jennifer Aniston and Leslie Mann starred in the film She’s The One in 1996. If you are looking for another appearance of them together, you won’t find it!
It’s said that Aniston couldn’t stand Mann’s sense of humor and mood swings. Aniston wanted to work with Mann’s husband, director Judd Apatow, but she never did because of her dislike for Mann. Some people have even said that Aniston referred to Mann as “Judd’s wife from hell”. Yikes!
Freddie Prinze Jr. & Kiefer Sutherland
Kiefer Sutherland became the lead actor on 24 and for the eight seasons, actor Freddie Prinze played the role of Cole Ortiz. Prinze stated that being part of the successful series was a huge opportunity for him and that he was really excited about working with a professional like Sutherland. Sadly for Prinze, he would later say something different.
During a Q&A Prinze revealed that working with Sutherland was the most difficult experience that he ever had. Why? Prinze claimed that the actor wasn't professional and their feud even made him almost quit acting. On the other hand, Sutherland said that he didn’t have any problems with Prinze but one thing is sure for both of them: they’ll never share the screen again.
Lucy Liu & Bill Murray
Lucy Liu famously starred in the Charlie’s Angels movies with Cameron Diaz and Drew Barrymore. In the first film, well-known actor Bill Murray played the role of John Bosley. Murray and Liu shared many scenes together but apparently, their relationship dissolved when Murray questioned Liu’s acting skills.
In fact, it’s said that Murray said in front of everyone that the actress was not a good fit to be in the film. By the time producers started to film the second installment, Murray was replaced by Bernie Mac. Of course, the producers couldn’t lose one of the Angels of the film.
Jamie Foxx & LL Cool J
In 1999, actor Jamie Foxx and rapper LL Cool J starred together in the film Any Given Sunday. The actors were under public attention when it was discovered that the two had a physical fight on the film set. Apparently, it was so serious that Foxx ended lying on the floor. The actors, however, didn't explain what happened.
After this altercation, LL released an album called Mama Said Knock You Out, increasing speculation about the fight. In recent interviews, LL claimed that they were filming a fight scene and Foxx asked him to ease up the level of aggression but LL continued with it. Foxx decided to punch LL on the face without following the script and then, everything started. Nowadays, both of them regret that situation.
William Shatner & George Takei
The two legendary actors from Star Trek can’t stand each other! Their historic feud started right when they starring in the franchise. George Takei said that William Shatner was not a good colleague and was very selfish too. Takei said that Shatner also pretended not to know him on set! According to Takei, the actor didn’t know how to work in a team.
On the other hand, Shatner claimed that Takei used to leave him out of everything. Shatner said he often felt like an outsider because of Takei’s behavior. In addition, he felt that way because Takei didn’t invite him to his wedding. Maybe it was because of the things Takei thought about Shatner, but nobody will ever know the truth about this fight.
Nick Nolte & Julia Roberts
In 1994, Nick Nolte and Julia Roberts were part of I Love Trouble. Both of them are considered great and talented actors, and nobody thought that working together would be like hell on the set, not even the director! The disgust between them was so strong that the director had to use lookalike actors to do the love scenes between the characters.
Nolte stated that it felt like he sold his soul to make this film, as he had a terrible time while making it. Roberts said that the actor had an awful and disgusting behavior despite his charming and nice demeanor. Also, Roberts added that he was not a nice person. Of course, we never saw the couple together again.
Robert Downey Jr. & Terrence Howard
The story of this feud involves Iron Man star Robert Downey Jr. and his former friend Terrence Howard. Apparently, Howard helped his friend to be part of the Marvel Universe in the role of the iconic superhero. Howard was played the role of the War Machine and everything seemed great. By the time of the release of Iron Man 2, Howard was no longer part of it. What happened to Howard?
According to Howard, when Downey Jr. came back for the sequel of Iron Man, he decided to take Howard’s payment and fire him from the franchise. Howard said he called him many times but he never answered his calls. A sad ending for a long-time friendship, but Howard said he preferred to remember Downey Jr. as a good person. Downey never commented on the issue.
Sylvester Stallone & Richard Gere
During the filming of The Lords Of Flatbush, things got physical between actors Sylvester Stallone and Richard Gere. Both of them are known for being peaceful and professional actors but it seemed they couldn’t control their egos and their personalities.
It all started when Stallone was having lunch between scenes at the backseat of a car when Gere appeared with his lunch. It was a big portion of chicken covered in mustard and Stallone thought that Gere was going to drip the food all over the place. Gere made a joke and splashed some mustard on Stallone. That was the final straw and Stallone punched Gere on the face and of course, after that incident, they never worked together again.
Shirley Maclaine & Debra Winger
Shirley Maclaine and Debra Winger were part of the 1983 Hollywood classic Terms Of Endearment. MacLaine played the role of Winger’s mother but their relationship was not as good as moms and daughters are normally. In 2008, Maclaine wrote about the filming time with Winger in her book Undiscovered and she said that Winger tried to pass gas in her direction and that Winger licked her leg while she was making a love scene with Jack Nicholson.
According to Winger, in an interview in 2018, she laughed at the anecdote and said that part of it was true but didn’t say anything else. What is most incredible is that the two actresses were nominated for Best Actress Academy Awards for the movie they worked in together. In the end, Maclaine won the award and claimed before the audience, which Winger was part of, that Winger deserved it.
Sarah Jessica Parker & Kim Cattrall
Upon watching the successful HBO series Sex And The City, starring Sarah Jessica Parker, Kim Cattrall, Kristin Davis and Cynthia Nixon, you would believe that they were all best friends in real life. But the world was shocked to learn that Parker and Cattrall actually hated each other the whole time.
What was the problem between the actresses? According to Cattrall's declarations, Parker was very mean and cruel to her and all the team. Producers were making the third movie of the series but Cattrall refused to film it and be part of the Sex And The City world again. Parker never commented on the issue.
David Yost & The Power Rangers
Definitely, old times have changed for many people and we can't be happier about that. Being openly gay in the past was a hard thing to do for many people, but luckily these days people are more open to the LGTBQ+ community. Imagine what it was like for actors and actresses! Power Rangers star David Yost experienced this struggle during the show.
Yost couldn't say he was gay because he felt that nobody was going to understand him and decided to quit the program. Also, he decided to do religious counseling to "cure" his condition. Nowadays, Yost is proudly and openly gay and he's still in our hearts as the most incredible blue power rangers of all time. Also, all the ex-Power Rangers support him.
Charlie Sheen & The Two And A Half Men Cast
We all remember the Warner TV sitcom Two And A Half Men starring Charlie Sheen, Jon Cryer and Angus T. Jones. It seemed that Sheen's character was based on the bad boy image that the actor had in real life. Sadly, after many months of feuds between producer Chuck Lorre, Sheen, and basically the entire production, Sheen decided to leave the show.
According to some tabloids, Sheen wanted to be paid 50 percent more than he was already getting. Also, producers were worried about Sheen's health as he was in rehab for the third time in 12 months. Everything ended so bad that Sheen's character was killed not only once, but twice on the show!
