#15. Demi Lovato

People sometimes get a tattoo in memoriam of a relative, a pet or a person who meant a lot to them. Celebs do the same, like the actress and singer Demi Lovato, when she decided to tattoo herself her Memaw, or well, her great grandmother.

What is lovely and touching about this tattoo is that Demi used an old photo of Mimaw when she was aged 26, the exact age Demi was when she tattoed herself. The work is precise and beautifully done. Very tasteful. A lovely gesture!

#14. David Beckham

Sometimes a tattoo has no reason behind it. Maybe the person liked the design and that was it. We might say that this is the case of David Beckham, who has so many tattoos he can’t even count them! First, he has two full sleeves and in his torso, he has some others too. We can say he is literally a beautiful art exhibition.

Of course, not all of them were just for fun. Some of his tattoos are dedicated to his family: to his longtime love during the last 20 years Victoria Beckham and their kids Brooklyn, Romeo, Cruz and Harper. The other passion that is permanently in his body is the soccer team Manchester United, where he played for more than 10 years.

#13. Tom Holland

Definitely, entering the Marvel world made Tom Holland’s acting career a success. After the release of Spider-Man: Homecoming in 2017, he reprised his role in Avengers: Infinity War, in 2018, for the spider bite. The Spider-Man world was so important to the actor, that he decided to do something to always remember that time…

Although getting a tattoo in the sole of the foot is really painful, Holland was determined to get it done in that part. He wanted to carry the Spider-Man symbol always with him and in his footsteps in the acting career. That’s why he had to endure more-than-painful tattoo sessions to finally get the design he wanted.

#12. The Mother Of Dragoons

If there is something that Emilia Clarke should be grateful to the HBO series Game Of Thrones (apart from the worldwide fame) is that she won many many titles for her character, Daenerys Targaryen. From Khaleesi Of The Great Grass Sea to Unburnt and Breaker Of Chains; her most important role was The Mother Of Dragons.

After having walked through fire and giving birth to Drogon, Rhaegal and Viserion, there is no tattoo more suitable for her than her three little dragons across her wrist. Also, she declared that the tattoo meant how much she learned during the 10 years of GOT and how grateful she is to her fans around the world.

#11. Johny Deep

Raise your hand if you haven’t ever done something silly for love! Of course, we can’t blame you because everyone has done crazy love demonstrations. Just look at Johny Deep! When he was dating the actress Winona Ryder he stamped his love in his arm with “Winona Forever”. Sadly, the couple broke up years later and Deep had to change his tattoo for a simple but efficient “Wino Forever”.

But that tattoo was not his last, as the actor has more than 30 around his body! His second passion, acting, was a source of inspiration to him too. Remember he became Captain Jack Sparrow for the famous movie franchise Pirate Of The Caribbean. In honor of his role, he tattoed himself a sparrow flying over an ocean on his right forearm.

#10. Jason Momoa

Sometimes people choose a tattoo because it represents something spiritual or related to their religion, like a crucifix or a mandala. There are infinite options for tattoos! The Aquaman star, Hawaiian actor Jason Momoa, got a special tattoo as a tribute to his aumakua, which means family or god from the Hawaiian mythology.

The guardian or god from his family has the shape of a shark, so Momoa decided to tattoed himself nine rows of triangles geometrically organized in his left arm. Each of them symbolizes shark teeth. Although it could sound a little strange, Momoa declared that every space of the tattoo means that can you “take the darkness out and bring in the light”.

The drama series Breaking Bad is a complete success and we have to say that is one of the best TV series of all time. Photo: Courtesy of Pinterest

Cranston has declared he wasn’t a real “tattoo person” but after the series release, he wanted to have something to remember it forever. A member of the art department crew was also a tattoo artist. What are the odds? Cranston got the Breaking Bad’s symbol in his finger and every time he sees it, he feels full of joy.

#8. Ariana Grande

Deciding to get a tattoo is not always easy as it’s something that will be permanently in your body, so you should think it carefully before going to a tattoo gallery and, of course, take close look at the design too. Probably the singer Ariana Grande thought that getting many matching-tattoos with her ex-fiancé Pete Davidson was a good idea. Or remember the time she tattoed herself “7 rings” in Japanese characters that turned out to mean something different…

Poor Ariana Grande, it turns out that the characters meant “small charcoal grill”! Luckily, for the singer, not all of her tattoos are related to a bad experience. In memoriam of the victims of the concert bombing in Manchester in 2017, she got the Manchester’s symbol: a small bumblebee behind her left ear.

#7. Megan Fox

With modern science, now there is a chance to remove a tattoo that doesn’t go with your personality anymore. Megan Fox decided to do that and removed the portrait of Marilyn Monroe she had on her forearm. The actress declared that perhaps the artist’s image could bring negative energy to her image given Monroe’s battles with mental health.

Photo: Courtesy of Pinterest

That doesn’t mean that Fox doesn’t like tattoos! On the other hand, she has many pieces of art in her body. For example, we can read in a Victorian font on her shoulder: “We will laugh at gilded butterflies”The actress got that line from Shakespeare’s play King Lear.

#6. Pete Davidson

We can’t imagine the Saturday Night Live member without his tattoos and we can’t even count them! Pete Davidson has a wide variety of tattoos in his body, like the ones that are in memoriam to his father (and they are really sweet too!) and the ones he got during his engagement to Ariana Grande.

Some of them were an impulsive act, such as that of the bunny ears mask from Dangerous Woman in his neck. Later, when the couple broke up, he decided to cover up that tattoo with a black heart.

Lady Gaga is the queen of music and fashion tendencies but recently she has been dabbling in the acting career and her last tattoo is definitely related to that… The A Star Is Born actress has tattoed herself a series of musical notes in her arm. The ones that know how to read them, will notice that in treble clef it would be “G-A-G-A”.

Photo: Courtesy of Direct Expose

But, what would it happen if we read in bass clef? According to many fans and specialist, the same notes in bass clef turns out to be “B-C-B-C”, the initials of the A Star Is Born‘s director and costar, Bradley Cooper. We can’t blame the fans, both of them have shown a great chemistry on-screen and out of it!

#3. Neil Patrick Harris

Some roles become really important for actors, not only for the fame they bring, but also for the effort they have to put into it. #2. Bella Hadid

Sometimes an image can mean a lot of different things, depending on the interpretation. Bella Hadid‘s tattoo of two small wings on her right ankle may mean something related to the Greek god Hermes or something related to angels. However, to Hadid, it means something completely different and personal…

Photo: Courtesy of Pinterest

After being rejected in many casts, Hadid finally got the opportunity of her life: to become a model for Victoria’s Secret fashion show in 2016. It’s said that the models who get this job are called the “Angels”. Hadid got her tattoo in January 2017, after she became an official VS Angel.

There is no celebrity more fan and admirer of body art and tattoos than the explosive singer Rihanna. She has declared on many occasions that she thinks her tattoos are culture and that she is a complete devotee to them. In other words, her tattoos are considered a tribute to her!

Photo: Courtesy of Pinterest

In her ankle, she got tattoed the year “1988” in which she was born. She decided to do it in the Bang Bang Tattoo Parlor in New York City, a typical place for tattoo artists and where most of her tattoos have been done.
