Splinter is the only wooden super car in the world and it was firstly designed by Joe Harmon as a graduate school project! Years later, after he graduated from North Carolina State University, Joe made his dream come true.

18. MATTRACKS TRUCK
This Mattracks truck is in reality an ordinary truck but here's the catch! Its wheels have been replaced with Mattrack belts that increase the truck's mobility on hard terrain and especially snow.
This is definitely a go-to vehicle if you live near the Arctic, although you should bear in mind that it's quite costly.

"Siamese twins" is actually a design by Frank Jessop and Neville Holmes and it's considered to be one of the strangest cars ever made.

This car is considered an authentic Picasso design and it's easy to see why! If you think about it, the car seems to have been designed in a cubist way!
It was released as a special edition version of the famous Citroen 2CV. Picasso's Citroen 2CV was designed by Andy Saunders.
15. MINI OUTSPAN ORANGE
The Outspan Orange car, while it may not be fast it is surely a unique design that doesn't go without notice.
It is a modified mini that looks like... an orange. It hardly reaches a top speed of 30mph and some say that it goes faster if it rolls over.
14. VOLKSWAGEN BEETLE CARAVAN
This beetle looks like it has just passed through a caravan. In reality it's just a Volkswagen beetled blended together with a caravan.
It can be a great place to sleep while on a trip and it can host up to 3 people -breakfast included- !
13. VEAH ELECTRIC CAR
This is definitely one of the most intriguing designs. "Veah" is a Belgian manufactured electric car that can travel enormous distances while being depended only on electrical power.
Its designer, Xavier Van der Stappen, proved that his car can do this by taking part in the "Paris-Dakar No Oil" race where he traveled from Paris to Dakar without a drop of oil!

This bizarre design holds the Guinness World Record for the biggest tricycle ever made. What an unusual record, but not as unusual as its design!
It was designed by Mr. K. Sudhakar who surely enjoys riding his giant shoe. It definitely can't go unnoticed!
11. THE HAIRY CITROEN 2CV
If you want a car that can keep you warm in the winter, then surely this modified Citroen 2CV is for you!
Its designer believed that they could keep their car warmer for the winter by adding fur and felt on it. It also looks like a mouse, doesn't it?

While Trabant's cars are considered to be extremely ugly, this ambitious German designer completely modified his Trabant and made it look like a flower garden.
Let's be honest, he really nailed it! Also, if you ask me, I'd say this is every hippy's dream car!
9. BARCELONA CAR
The designer of this car owns a store that sells Barcelona's F.C merchandise and being a hardcore fan of the team, he decided to take things to the next level!
Here he is, posing with his "Barcelona Car" in a suburb of San Salvador He definitely goes to great lengths to prove he's a die-hard fan.
8. 1934 LINCOLN MODEL 40 SPEEDSTER
This one is a special edition Speeder that was made to look Edsel Ford's famous personal car.
Some say that it looks like a kid's toy but this futuristic yet old-fashioned car was eventually a big success!
7. 1962 PEEL P50
This little car once held the Guinness World Record of the smallest car ever made. It is 54 inches long and only 41 inches wide, being able to let only the driver inside.
While this ridiculously small car held its title for over 50 years, the car on #3 eventually snatched it away!
6. PININFARINA FERRARI 512-S
This concept car was designed by Paolo Martin for the 1970 Geneva Motor Show. Paolo's aimed to make a "future" car but little did he know that cars of the future would be nothing like it.
It may look out of place today but it could be employed for an action film for sure! Also, is it me, or does it kind of look like a Japanese high-speed train?
5. LIMO-PLANE
This one is actually the cabin of a Boeing aircraft that was converted by Mercedes Benz into a limo. Crazy, huh?
FYI, the car can be rented for $350 per hour in Guadalajara, Mexico. Not too bad for a first date!
4. WOODEN ELECTRIC CAR
Here's another wooden car, only this one is electric. I know what you're thinking: the words "wooden" and "electric" don't really seem to match!
Built by Liu Fulong in 2015 this wooden car weighs half a ton and can reach a speed of 60km per hour.

2. STOUT SCARAB
Only nine of these cars were built. They were designed by William B.Stout, the man that created the Ford Tri-Motor aircraft.
It's extremely light because of its almost entirely made of aluminium. On top of that, its seats can move. How cool is that?
