26. MAKING MEMORIES WITH LOLA
Lola grew up in the Robles family, and she loved everyone around her. Icela Robles, the happy mom of Joshua, Jeslyn, and Lola loved sharing adorable moments of the perfect trio hanging around.
Lola was only a couple of months old when she joined her family and she's been a spoiled pooch ever since. It was love at first sight for the Robles and for her. The kids had a special bond with her and always joined in for the evening walk and a play of fetch.

23. EVERYONE LOST HOPE
If Lola was taken to the shelter, the staff should have called the family by now, but months passed and all the searching and waiting had the same result. Lola was still gone. Icela thought that maybe Lola had a terrible fate, that she was run by a car or went into other kinds of trouble. By nature, she was very playful and friendly, so they assumed she followed some strangers who took her or she got lost...
22. LOLA HAD A MICROCHIP
Before getting lost, the family microchipped Lola just to be safe but they never thought she would actually run away from home. Where was she and why didn't she come back home? In the past, the pooch would sometimes venture out on the street by herself but she always roamed close to the fence. Something wasn't right... and the odds were not in Lola's favor.
21. LOLA WAS ONE OF THE MANY MISSING PETS
Why was Lola's fate so uncertain? According to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, who conducted a survey in 2012 on the number of dogs being reunited with families after being lost, the odds were not in the Lola’s favor! More than 80% of the lost dogs got rescued and sent to shelters, and most owners had no idea that their dogs were safe and waiting for them…
20. WAS LOLA PART OF THE STATISTICS?
The Robles family had no idea if Lola would be that one dog that would find her way back into their home. But one day, Icela received a phone call about Lola. A lot of time has passed and she had no idea if it was a dead end or someone really had news about their beloved pet... Was it yet another dog that looked like Lola but wasn't really their lost pooch?

18. ONE YEAR LATER, ICELA GETS A CALL FROM THE DALLAS ANIMAL SERVICES
It has been almost a year after the pooch went missing! Could she really be safe and alive? The Dallas Animal Services phoned Icela to deliver amazing news! Here's what happened...
17. LOLA IS ALIVE!
Believe it or not, Lola was alive and healthy! The microchip helped Dallas Animal Services to call the owner according to the information in the chip. Lola was in a great condition – she was quite fluffy and a bit too well fed! Looking at her physique, nothing bad appeared to have happened to this sweet girl… But how did she get lost and where was she hiding for all this time? Here's how Icela reacted when she saw Lola.
16. THE LOST PUP
Icela went to get the family dog back but planned a surprise for the kids so that they get the great news. A family friend filmed the entire reunion with Joshua and Jeslyn, and it has melted thousands of hearts across the Internet. Prepare some napkins, because you will need them. 15. MOM IS HERE
The woman that is filming is in the kitchen with the kids and tells them to go outside and greet the mom who just parked her car. They go outside, feeling that something is going on and as Icela stands outside the large SUV in front of the garage, they approach her. Then, Jeslyn sees some fur…
14. DID YOU GET A DOG?
Jeslyn runs to the SUV and cries: “What the heck? Did you get a dog?” Probably they were a bit confused and thought that getting another dog won’t replace Lola. But little do these kids know that someone familiar is about to greet them. Wait until you see their reactions!
13. LOLA IS THE 'NEW' DOG!
To the kids’ surprise, Lola gets out of the car, greets the kids and they are stunned! Jeslyn’s frozen and clutches onto a ball she had in her hands. Icela sees her daughter’s shock and hugs her saying: “It’s Lola!” That’s when the kids start crying and laughing at the camera.
12. SHARING GROUP HUGS
The family embraces into a tight group hug with Lola around, happy to be back home. Icela says: “We have Lola back! Do you believe it?” Joshua and Jeslyn keep sobbing and ask for more hugs. Looking at Lola, you can see she was in good hands for the past year. But where has she been all this time?
11. LOLA WAS QUITE FAT!
Dallas Animal Services talked with Icela and told her the good news, plus that the dog was actually quite fat. In the video, this doesn’t escape their attention either. Icela says: “Look how fat she is!” She sure is happy to be back with her folks and run in her own garden!
10. KISSES FOR LOLA
“Can you believe we have Lola?” repeats the happy mom and the kids hug and kiss her and let the pooch run around the garden and check all the things she left behind. The kids then started asking their mom how she found Lola…
9. THE SHELTER CALLED BECAUSE LOLA HAD A CHIP
Joshua pets Lola and asks his mom where she found Lola. Icela grins, explaining that she was found on the street and was taken to a shelter: “Because she has a chip, they were able to call us and say, ‘We found your dog.’” Finally, Lola was back with her family, getting her treats of belly rubs and hugs!

Then Icela tells the kids “everybody rub her belly! She missed everybody!” This video was published by The Dodo on Facebook bearing the caption “This dog is about to reunite with her family after she was missing for over a YEAR.” How people reacted? - Priceless!
