#30. Jake Paul

Jake Paul got a role on Disney‘s Bizaardvark after making it big on YouTube. But that didn’t last long.

After working with Disney for barely two years, the network fired him due to his behavior on his viral videos, i.e. lighting things on fire and terrorizing his neighbors.

#19. Ashley Tisdale

Ashley Tisdale has certainly one of the most memorable Disney careers of all time. She starred in High School Musical, The Suite Life of Zack & Cody, and Phineas and Ferb.

After a whopping 8 years working on Phineas and Ferb, Tisdale had enough, and decided to move on to more mature roles.

Aly and AJ had a very successful career under Disney‘s wings. They released three albums on Disney’s music label Hollywood Records, until they decided to quit.

Recently, the sisters opened up about it in an interview, and explained that the industry left a bad taste in their mouth and growing up in the spotlight was too hard, so they decided to quit.

Miranda Cosgrove certainly left her mark on Nickelodeon after starring in Drake and Josh and later getting her own show, iCarly.

After the show ended, however, she decided to go to college, instead of sticking with the network.

Musso had his breakout role in Hannah Montana, and when the show ended, he was actually offered to star in his own show.

When he was arrested for DIU, however, he had to leave Pair of Kings, and was relegated to voice acting on Phineas and Ferb instead. Later, he exited Disney.

Rowan Blanchard starred in Girl Meets World for four years before it was canceled. Apparently, she decided to cut ties with Disney because she felt controlled.

I worked for a corporation for four years that is known for silencing and crafting your voice, so with that I just had to very much stand my ground and separate myself,” Blanchard said. Ouch!

Adrienne Bailon‘s successful career as a Cheetah Girl came to an end when her laptop was stolen and nude photos of her were leaked to the press.

Unfortunately, she was forced to leave Disney after the scandal.

Shia LaBeouf‘s career began on Disney Channel, playing Louis on Even Stevens.

After almost 10 years, however, he decided to leave the network to pursue more mature roles. When asked about his time on Disney, however, he said it was the best thing that happened to him.

After many successful years, Josh, the cast, and the network decided it was time to move on. Josh felt he was ready for more mature roles, although the audience was very sad to see him go.

Zendaya got her big start on Disney‘s Shake It Up, and later starred in her own show K.C. Undercover. But with the last episode of K.C., came her separation from Disney.

When she announced her departure from the network, she tweeted: “The end of an era. On to the next. Thank you for continuing to grow with me“.

Jake T. Austin‘s blossoming career on Disney Channel was cut short when he was arrested for DIU in 2013.

Not only that, but he also went on a rage-fueled rampage behind the scenes of the Teen Choice Awards, where he threw a shoe box on a staffer.

Aside from starring in Drake and Josh, Drake Bell also had a music career while working for Nickelodeon.

Just like his co-star Josh, Drake felt the show had a good run, but it was time to move on. After the show, he focused all his attention on his music career, and actually went on a world tour.

Viewers were shocked when Shake It Up, which was the #1 show at the time, was canceled.

According to Bella, the show was canceled because she chose to leave, after being exploited and controlled by Disney.

Brenda Song played London Tipton on The Suite Life of Zack & Cody, noted as one of Disney Channel‘s longest continuous characters.

In 2010 however, she decided to transition into mainstream movies and stop working for Disney when she appeared on The Social Network.

Jennette McCurdy played lovable Sam on iCarly and later on Sam and Cat along with Ariana Grande. She worked for Nickelodeon until it was canceled, which didn’t sit well with McCurdy.

Racy photos of her had been leaked online, which only made the show even more prone to cancellation, and she decided to quit Nickelodeon to move on with her life.

Kyle Massey became famous through his role of Cory on That’s so Raven, which later got him his own spinoff show, Cory in the House.

The show only lasted for two seasons, however, as Kyle and the cast members were busy with other projects.

That’s so Raven was very successful, but after many years, Raven was getting too old for working on the channel. She decided to leave and therefore, the show was canceled.

Emily Osment reached fame through Hannah Montana, and enjoyed five and a half years on the show.

But five and a half years were more than enough, and she decided to work on her singing career instead of staying at Disney Channel.

It all came to an end, however, when racy pictures of the actress were leaked online. Disney was not pleased with the event, and cut ties with her.

When news broke that the 16-year-old actress was pregnant, the show was canceled, and she decided to step out of the spotlight to raise her baby.

Demi Lovato stole everyone’s hearts when she starred in Disney‘s Camp Rock. But by the time she worked on Camp Rock 2, things started to go downhill.

Her struggles with mental illness and drug addiction led her to enter rehab, and officially leave Disney to focus on her recovery in 2011.

After many years working for Disney, the Jonas Brothers got their own TV series on the network, Jonas. However, the show didn’t do as well as expected.

It only attracted 3.7 million viewers while Hannah Montana, in comparison, had more than double. The show was canceled, and the Jonas Brothers moved on.

She worked for 12 hours every day, and was so stressed she developed anxiety and couldn’t handle it anymore.

Lindsay Lohan had her big break of Disney‘s The Parent Trap, and later did three more movies with the company. She was a very valuable asset for Disney, bringing huge audiences to see her movies every time.

However, the relationship went bad as she got involved in several scandals (including drunkenness, drugs, and more). That’s when Disney decided they should go their separate ways.
