How To Make Eggnog And Other Eggnog Recipes

Eggnog is a delicious nutritious egg and milk drink, easily made at home. It contains sugar and is flavored with vanilla, fruit juice, chocolate, or wine. Brandy, whiskey, or rum may be used according to taste. A basic recipe follows:

1 egg, beaten

2 tsp sugar or honey

1 cup vitamin D milk

1/2 tsp vanilla

Dash of nutmeg

Beat the egg and the sugar together; the beat in the milk and vanilla. Serve cold using tall glasses with a light sprinkling of nutmeg. Omit the vanilla if other flavoring is used.  To make a fluffier lighter eggnog, beat the yolk and white separately. Add the sugar, milk, and flavoring to the yolk, and fold in the white.
