Change your mind

Do you find yourself thinking “If only I had the extra money, if only I had a better job, if only….” To get the day back on track, stop those thoughts from forming. Don’t continue wishful or negative thoughts. Your thoughts are a powerful influence on your mood, believe in the power of positive thinking! Having a great day starts with thinking happy.

Take one step at a time

If you are overwhelmed with your day, break it down into small steps. Don’t think about everything at once. Take what is in front of you and take care of it. Keeping things organized and stress free as possible will allow you to not become overwhelmed.

Eat well

Don’t add to your bad mood by eating unhealthy food. This will only make you feel worse, chemically and psychologically. When you start to feel the blues come on, grab one of these good mood boosting foods; dark chocolate, canned tuna,and avocados.

Move

Try to add some exercise into your routine. If you’re at work, take a quick walk on your break. If you are at home, do a quick 5 minute jumping jacks or step aerobics . A little exercise can go a long way to improving your mood and giving you that boost to make your day much better.
