Everyone loves going to the movies, no matter what type you like, whether it is comedy, horror, sci-fi; there is always something good showing at a theatre.
For sci-fi fans the new Star Trek movie, titled “Star Trek” takes viewers back to the beginning when James Kirk, known as Captain Kirk and Spock first meet. The journey shows us how they become such good friends and how they grow as partners and take the U.S.S. Enterprise to boldly where no man has gone before.
Another movie that will hit the screens this May is X-Men Origins: Wolverine. This is great for X-Men fans. This adventure will explore Wolverine’s violent and romantic past and his complex relationship with Victor Creed and the ominous Weapon X program. This should keep viewers on the edge of their seats.
Angels & Demons will hit the theatres in May as well. This film is directed by Ron Howard and is the prequel to the Da Vinci Code. It is about a Harvard professor who tries to solve a murder and unravel a plot by an ancient group, the Illuminati. This movie stars Tom Hanks and will certainly be a block buster you will not want to miss.
Ghost of Girlfriends Past is a comedy starring Matthew McConaughey and Jennifer Garner. A bachelor, played by McConaughey, attends his brothers wedding and ends up being visited by ghosts of his past girlfriends. Certainly a chick flick, but it should be a great one!
For all of the Spider Man fans, he’s coming back! Spider Man 4 is coming soon. The theatrical release date is scheduled to hit the big screen on May 6th. The film stars Toby Maguire and Kirsten Dunst.
The Proposal, starring Sandra Bullock makes its debut on June 19th. When Margaret (Sandra Bullock) a high powered book editor, faces deportation to Canada, she pretends to engaged to her unsuspecting assistant, played by Ryan Reynolds.
“Imagine That” stars Eddie Murphy. He plays a powerful financial executive whose career was sent down the drain due to a sudden lack of confidence. He finds answers to his set back in an imaginary world created by his daughter. Anyone who likes Eddie Murphy will enjoy this comedy.
For the “Night at The Museum” fans, there is a sequel coming. The theatrical release of Night at the Museum 2: Escape from the Smithsonian. The sequel stars Ben Stiller and Robin Williams. Much like the first film, Ben Stiller’s character must escape the mad world of the museum. This is the first time any movie has been filmed inside the Smithsonian. It is sure to be an adventure that the entire family will enjoy.
