Step 1: Weigh yourself using a scale that meausres in pounds and write down your weight.
For example, you weigh yourself and find out you weigh 150 pounds.
Step2 : Take the number of pounds you weigh and multiply that by 2/3.
For example, 150 pounds mutliplied by 2/3 is 100.
Step3 : That is the number of ounces you should drink everyday.
For example, that means a 150 pound person should drink 100 ounces of water everyday.
Step4 : Make sure to space out drinking at least that much water throughout the day. Do not drink it all at once or you eliminate the health benefits.
Step 5 : Add 12 ounces of water for every 30 minutes you work out. For example, if you work out for 60 minutes everyday, you need to drink an extra 24 ounces of water daily.
* Use a 20 ounce water container to easily remember how much you are drinking. If you need to drink 100 ounces a day, you know you need to fill it up at least 5 times.
* This will help you lose weight! Water moves things through your bodily more quicker and keeps you more full!
* If you drink a lot of caffiene, you may need to drink even more water. Caffiene is a diuretic and makes your body lose water faster than you normally would.
* If you get tired of the taste of plain water, try adding a squirt of lime or lemon. Also, flavored water and carbonated water also count!
