Everyone is going green. Or at least I know I am, or as close to it as I possibly can. I don’t consider myself a granola mom but I do try my best. All my cleaning products are now green and I changed my light bulbs. So I started thinking about what I could change in my life to help further my green mentality without breaking budget. I found that my makeup was the next step. I had to go piece by piece mind you, but if you have the cash go ahead and throw away all the eye pallets, mascara, eye liner, the whole shah-bam and get some new earth friendly Makeup. I did some research trying to find the best and cheapest green makeup brands and were to find them. I found that I wouldn’t have to break the budget to start replacing my makeup.  Most of the makeup I bought was by plantlove sold at Sephora and other companies. But I will be going through 3 companies detailing what products are offered and there general prices.

  1. Cargo “PlantLove” –There prices are a little high, at least for me but they do donate two dollars per product to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.  The PlantLove collection carries Lipstick at $20, Lip Gloss $20, Powder Foundation $30, Bronzer $28, eyeliner in six colors $16, Luminizer $28, blush $28, eye shadow in 18 beautiful colors $20, lip treatments(lip balm) $20, lip pencils $16, and pressed powder $30.   This product line also carries the Sephora’s natural seal which you can read about here: http://www.sephora.com/browse/templates/popNatural.jhtml.
  1. Organic wear- You are able to purchase organic wear at your local drug store or target. Although its Natural standards are not as high as PlantLove they are still a good and affordable product! They say that they are 100% free of harsh chemicals, synthetic preservatives and Parabens (a group of chemicals widely used as preservatives in makeup.)  They have pressed powder in 9 shades $13.95, loose powder in 6 shades $13.95, Face Sculpting Trio Ultra-versatile multi-colored powder  $13.95, Matte Finishing & Bronzing Veils 13.95, Bronzer in 6 shades $13.95, 2-in-1 Bronzer & Blush 13.95, blush in 6 shades $11.95, Liquid Foundation SPF 16 in 6 shades $13.95, Concealer Stick $6.95, Liquid Bronzer in three shades $10.95, Eye Shadow Duo’s in four choices going by eye color brown, hazel, blue and green $7.95, eyeliner in 4 colors $7.95, mascara in 2 blacks $9.95, Superfruit Lip Gloss in 6 shades $7.95,  lip veil ( 3-in-1 lipstick + lip gloss + lip balm)$7.95. Most Organic wear® products are ECOCERT® certified organic. You can read about it here http://www.organicwearmakeup.com/en-us/staticpage/ecocert.html
  2. Alimapure- This brand is what any girl would want tons of options and high quality wear, but I can only get a hold of it online. This is professional quality makeup. There site offers an awesome option though, samples! That’s right samples for 1.50 so you can try it and decide if you want to purchase the large size. This brand by far has the most options in color and product. Satin Matte Foundation $20, Satin Finishing Powder $15, Concealer $10 , Luminous Shimmer Powder nine shades $15, Balancing Primer Powder $15, Color Balancing Powder$15, Luminous Shimmer Blush $15, Satin Matte Blush $15, Bronzer$15,  Luminous Shimmer Eyeshadow in 49 colors $9, Pearluster Eyeshadow in 20 colors $9, Satin Matte Eyeshadow in 31 colors $9, Luminous Shimmer Eyeliner powder form 12 colors $9, Satin Matte Eyeliner powder form 7 colors $10, and nourishing lip balm in 8 colors $5.95.  Each product has a ingredient list on there website you can check them out here http://www.alimapure.com/pure-living-natural-makeup/pure-mineral-makeup-natural-cosmetics/
