Perfection Doesn’t Have To Be Out Of Your Reach

FIRST PLACE TO FINDING PERFECTION: On a clear night, go outside and watch the sunset. Once the sun has slipped below the horizon, look up. If the sunset doesn’t take your breathe away, then the stars will. That my friend, is perfection. Genesis 1:14-19 (vs. 16 …God made two great lights – the greater light to govern the day and the lesser light to govern the night. He also made the stars…)

SECOND STEP TO FINDING PERFECTION: If you can, hold a new born baby. Any baby that is only a few months old or younger. If you can’t hold one, go to the maternity area and look through the glass at a new born baby. Look at that beautiful tiny face. Now that’s perfection. Matthew 18:3-5 (vs. 3 And He said, I tell you the truth, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven…)

THIRD STEP TO FINDING PERFECTION: Stand along the edge of the ocean and look out as far as you can see. Watch the waves crash. Again, perfection. Genesis 1:9-14 (vs. 9 And God said, Let the water under the sky be gathered to one place, and let dry ground appear…)

FOURTH STEP TO FINDING PERFECTION: Have you ever taken a moment to look outside? In the Spring, everything is full of life and blooming. The greenest green you’ve ever seen. In the Fall, bright vibrant colors dot the landscape. Colors we can only hope to duplicate surround us every day. You guessed it, perfection. Ecclesiastes 3:1-8 (vs. 1 There is a time for everything and a season for every activity under heaven…)

FIFTH STEP TO FINDING PERFECTION: Was the beauty surrounding us everyday an accident? Can you really look at the elegant, precise and vibrant artwork that we live in everyday and not see that it was planned by someone bigger than us? Genesis 1:31-2:3 (1:31a God saw all that He had made and it was very good…)

SIXTH STEP TO FINDING PERFECTION: Did you know that God knew every hair on your head even before you were born? Psalm 139:13-16 (vs. 13 For you created my innermost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb…)

SEVENTH STEP TO FINDING PERFECTION: Perfection is all around us everyday. If we spend too much time looking for it, we will miss it.

SOMETHING TO PONDER:
1. Have you ever wondered how a tree (or plants) knows to grow?
2. How the birds know to fly south?
3. How the life cycle works so perfectly?
4. How a Bumble Bee can fly when it’s body is too heavy for it’s wings to support?
5. How the Solar System revolves and stays in place? One adjustment and the whole system would fail.
6. Was gravity on earth and accident?
