Here is an interesting problem of naming a child. This is an interesting report from religion.blogs.cnn.com about a court order of changing the name of a child. This is a case from the Tennessee county.

Parents of seven months old “Messiah”, his mom Jaleesa Martin Messiah’s and dad Jawaan McCullough, had to approach the court since they are not legally married and could not agree on a last name for their baby. The attention of the judge was shifted from the real problems of the case which was about the last name to the peculiarity of the first name “Messiah”. The people of the locality did not want to call a child by the name “Messiah”
This ended up in Child Support Magistrate Lu Ann Ballew ordering the couple to name the first name “Messiah” into some other name.

Order to change the first name

According to the report from Martin to CNN, the judge just came out and said, “I’;m going to change his first name,” because she did not like it.

Child Support Magistrate Lu Ann Ballew wrote her judgment: “‘Messiah’; is a title that is held only by Jesus Christ and that naming him this ‘places an undue burden on him that as a human being, he cannot fulfill.’”
The ruling of the judge also noted the point that the child was born among in the Tennessee county where there is a large Christian population.

The Modern world is becoming more complicated even with naming children.
