MTN has launched Pay4me for Pay Monthly customers who have used up their limit or who have been disconnected for non payment of bills . They will be able to make calls which would be charged to another subscriber’s pay as you go or pay monthly account. This new service offers clients the convenience of making calls without worrying about airtime or disconnection.MTN Pay4Me is a service that allows you to call friends, family and dear ones anytime, anywhere even with no credit on your phone. When you make an MTN Pay4Me call, the receiver pays when he or she accepts your call. The features of the service are as follows: Allows Postpaid clients to make urgent calls when they have exceeded their limit or when they are one-way or both ways disconnected. Calls can be made to either a prepaid or postpaid number at the cost of the receiver. Call charge per minute is GH10 (per second billing applies) The receiver has the option to accept or reject charges for the call To use the Pay4Me service the customer has two options.
The Customer must precede the receiver’s phone number with 154 and hold on while the system requests the receiver’s permission to take up the charges. E.g.154024XXXXXXX Customer can also use the USSD string followed by the receiver’s phone number. E.g. *154*024XXXXXXX# In both cases, the receiver has the option to either accept charges to the call or decline. As soon as both parties are connected, The receiving customer pays for the call until one party hangs the call Where the caller party (party A) does not respond when called, the session will be closed and an SMS sent to the caller A pay as you go customer can only receive a pay4 me call when he or she has 1gh cedi credit or more. For customers with CLIR, Pay4Me calls via the direct dial does not show the Caller ID but Pay4Me calls via USSD shows the caller ID of the party initiating the call. Pay4me calls cannot be made to a roaming MTN Pay Monthly or Pay as you go number In the same way a roaming MTN number cannot receive a Pay4Me call. For purposes of control, customers can add some numbers to their allowed (white list) or Barred List (black list). White List All calls coming from numbers in a customer’s white list are accepted automatically even though the receiver is notified that it is a pay4me call. To add a number to a customer’s white list, the customer must dial *154*5*024XXXXXXX# To remove numbers from the white list, the customer must dial *154*6*024XXXXXXX# To view numbers in a customer’s white list, the customer must dial *154*1# Barred List All calls coming from numbers in a customer’s blacklist are declined automatically and the caller is notified accordingly. To add a number to a customer’s blacklist, the customer must dial *154*2*024XXXXXXX# To remove numbers from the white list, the customer must dial *154*3*024XXXXXXX# To view numbers in a customer’s white list, the customer must dial *154*1#
