I have been studying the Bible to find the best way to describe to my grandson who Jesus Christ, God, and the Holy Spirit was. I wanted to be able to give my grandson verses that proved just who Jesus Christ, God, and the Holy Spirit was. I could find a lot of verses in the bible like “God will never leave us or forsake us!” My grandson looked at me and said he knew that once you invite God into your life that he will help you through the rough times as well as the good times.
I found verses in the Bible that told me that everyone should put God in control of their lives. I wanted to see just how much my grandson knew about God and I decided to ask him “Why should we put God in control of our lives?”
My grandson looked at me as I had lost all my common sense and he said “We put God in charge of our life, so that we live a blessed and happy life. I love God and you should too Grandma, we should put God in control of our lives to prove that we love Him to guide us and to teach us. That is what my Sunday School teacher tells us.”
I looked at my grandson and told him that I loved him dearly and I told him to keep listening to his Sunday School teacher because she knew what she was talking about.
I put God in charge of my life and I have never regretted the fact that I did that. I have a best friend that I can tell all my problems, worries, and cares to. I know that when I do something wrong, I will not be judged or gossip about. God will teach me how to handle the situation the next time it happens in my life. God will teach me how to handle the situation with patience and how to deal with the people involved with it. Where the situation be bad or good, God will be there walking with me as we handle the situation the proper way.
I have put God in charge of my life, so that He can teach me how to be a blessing to other people and how to treat them the same way that I would want to be treated. I had a hard time with this lesson which included giving things to other people that God would tell me to. My Earthly parents told me to work hard for the things that I would get in life and then no one could take them away from me. When God was telling me to bless other people, it was a hard lesson that I had to do several time before I actually got it straight in my head. I felt like I was going against what my Earthly Parents told me.
Now, when God tells me to bless someone, I listen with both ears and follow his instruction to the letter. Why? Because God is in charge of my life and He is leading me to the way of a blessed life.
