Green Bean Casserole Recipe

I can gaurantee you and your family will love these. Oridinary green bean casserole gets boring even for the green bean casserole lovers! They are so easy to make and no need to turn on the stove which is an added bonus, especially  in the summer time when people prefer to not use their oven.

Things You’ll Need:

  • 1 bag of frozen green beans
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 1/2 lb of bacon
  • 2 tsp olive oil (optional)
  • salt & pepper


Place green beans in saucepan and add enough water for vegetables to cook. Simmer on low heat until desired tenderness. Drain water. Green beans can also be cooked in vegetable steamer bags to shorten the cooking time.


Cut uncooked bacon into bite size pieces with meat scissors or a sharp knife. Remove skin from garlic and chop  into very fince pieces or mince.


Place bacon and garlic into a fry pan. Cook the bacon and garlic in a fry pan on low heat, until bacon is preferred crispness. Bacon can be tender or crisp. Drain the excess grease from pan or remove bacon and garlic from fry pan with a slotted spoon.


Mix all of the ingredients together and place into desired serving bowl or dish. A few tsp of olive oil can be added also, but not neccesary. Add salt and peper to desired taste and serve. 

  • Add more or less bacon to preference.
  • Replace iodized salt with sea salt instead.
  • Use minced garlic in place of garlic cloves.
  • Don’t overcook the green beans.
  • Be careful of grease spatter.
