Having perfect skin requires taking care of yourself, eating healthy food, drinking lots of water, exercising, and using a good skincare program on a daily basis to keep your skin clean. Know your skin type and what it needs before buying anything.

Decide on what soap you should buy for your particular skin type. Vegan soaps have plant extracts and herbs, and they are perfect for sensitive or normal skin. Salt soaps contain minerals, salt and mud from the sea, and they are perfect for oily, combination or dull/sallow skin. Soaps that contain neem and ayurvedic herb have antibacterial ingredients, and they are great for skin with acne. Oatmeal Soap that contains lavender is good for dry skin.

Use a scrub to cleanse and exfoliate your face as well as the dead skin layer. It is perfect for skin with acne, but all skin types should use it. It also opens pores.

Put a mask on every part of the face, including the t-zone area, cheeks and neck. Let it dry on your face. Seek natural masks that contain ingredients like acai goji berry. Since the pores are opened from exfoliating, the mask will pull out all the dirt, and further cleanse your face. After it dries on your face, wash it off with cold water. And, pat dry.

Use an astringent or toner. Witch Hazel Astringent is perfect for all skin types, from sensitive to oily. Put a drop or two on a cotton pad, and wipe your face lightly, moving in an upward and outward motion. It is used to remove dirt, oil and makeup as well as tones the skin and makes pores smaller. It also can be used for minor cuts that are caused by shaving.

Put a light moisturizer on your face. Choose a serum that contains ingredients that promote collagen and elastin because they help reduce facial wrinkles and lines.
