Feast your eyes on the new Aston Martin Vantage V12 Zagato. The product of a reborn partnership between the British sportscar-maker and the Milanese design house that goes back fifty years, the V12 Zagato has just been revealed on its way to the Concorso d’Eleganza at Villa d’Este on the shores of Italy’s Lake Como. And man, does it look the business.

Aston Martin introduced the Vantage V12 Zagato Concept to the world, a supercar that was born from the creative minds of Aston Martin and Italian coachbuilder, Zagato. The overwhelming popularity of the concept prompted the folks over at Aston to expedite the release of the production car and lo and behold, the production car was supposed to make an appearance at the Frankfurt Motor Show.

Not a lot’s happened mechanically, but Zagato’s gone to preposterous lengths to form that awesome body. Building the shell using machines wasn’t possible, so each aluminium design flourish was fabricated by hand from sheet metal before being grafted together to form a panel. The front wings alone are built in seven pieces.

But what we saw at Frankfurt appeared to be the same one we saw at Pebble Beach and Villa d’Este, albeit with a new trunk lid as opposed to the huge spoiler we saw before.

CEO aston martin (Dr Ulrich Bez) said, “The Aston Martin V12 Zagato a celebration of both Aston Martin’s heritage and its future. Our relationship with Zagato stretches back more than 50 years. Together in That time we have created a series of very special cars. The first – the DB4GT Zagato – is a true icon: fast, beautiful and incredibly Desirable. In the V12 Zagato I believe we have captured the spirit of that car and combined it with a confident twist of Modernity to give it a character all of its own. ”

The ’production version’ of the Aston Martin Vantage V12 Zagato was one of the highlights of Aston Martin’s booth at Frankfurt, where it was joined by the pair of V12 Zagato race car variants that participated at the 24 Hours of Nurburgring – ’Zig’ and ’Zag’ – as well as the One-77 supercar and the newly released Virage and Vantage S. Now, Aston Martin has finally revealed all the goods for their exquisite super car.

Aston Martin Zagato V12 engine features a capacity of 7.3-liter V12 with 750 hp (559 kW / 760 PS) and 750 Nm (553 lb-ft) of torque. Performance specifications have not been officially released, the car can reach speeds of 0-100 km / h in just 3.5 seconds and reaches a top speed of 220 mph (355 km / h).
