Two New Special Editions For The Toyota Aygo

Japanese car maker Toyota started producing the Aygo in 2005; it is the result of a partnership between PSA Peugeot Citroen and Toyota. The other two models produced alongside the Aygo are the Citroen C1 and Peugeot 107. All three models look identical and share the same power trains; the only difference is in the rear tailgate, where each manufacturer has added their own touch.

The Aygo like its cousins is available with one diesel and one petrol engine, the petrol engine is a 1.0 litre with 67 bhp and the diesel engine is a 1.4 litre with 54 bhp. My personal choice would be the diesel unit; its torque makes it very nippy around town. Newer models only come with the petrol engine now but older models can be found with the diesel engine.

For the 2012 model Toyota has given the Aygo a small facelift, changes include the option of LED daytime running lights incorporated into the new style bumper and interior upgrades to materials and finishes. The Citroen C1 and Peugeot 107 have also received a minor refresh. The single petrol engine that is now available has been tweaked to lower CO2 emissions to achieve zero road tax and exemption from the London Congestion Charge. For the 2012 model Toyota has given the Aygo a small facelift, changes include the option of LED daytime running lights incorporated into the new style bumper and interior upgrades to materials and finishes. Along with the revised car Toyota has also unveiled two new special edition variants; the Fire and Ice models.  The Aygo Fire has 14-inch alloys, LED daytime running lights set into the lower edge of the grille, tinted windows, a leather steering wheel and leather gear knob trim. The Ice model comes with air conditioning, Alcantara and leather trim, Bluetooth connectivity and a USB port.Along with the revised car Toyota has also unveiled two new special edition variants; the Fire and Ice models.  The Aygo Fire has 14-inch alloys, LED daytime running lights set into the lower edge of the grille, tinted windows, a leather steering wheel and leather gear knob trim.
