Japanese car maker Nissan has been producing the Juke since 2010, it is a compact crossover based on the Nissan Micra supermini. Models destined for European markets are built here in the UK at Nissan’s plant in Washington. All 4-wheel drive variants are built in Japan as are the models destined for the rest of the world.

If you are thinking of buying a new Nissan in Surrey then the Juke really is a good buy; it is a great looking car with a high waistline and narrow windows. It is not a conventional looking car, but that does not mean it is unpleasing to the eye. The Juke was probably the first SUV to look more like a coupe; it has rear door handles that are hidden behind the C-Pillar.

Currently in the UK the Juke is available with a choice of three engines, two of which are petrol and the other a diesel. The single diesel engine is a 1.5 litre unit that delivers an impressive 109 bhp, its nippy and fun to drive. The entry level 1.6 litre 115 bhp petrol is as fun to drive, especially with is short shifting gear ratio. For more performance you can opt for the 1.6 litre direct injection turbo which has 188 bhp and can do 0-62 mph in 8.0 seconds!Currently in the UK the Juke is available with a choice of three engines, two of which are petrol and the other a diesel. This month Nissan has launched the Nissan Juke Shiro which is replacing the Juke Kuro as the top of the range model. Shiro in Japanese means “white” but the special edition model is only available in two shades of black with a white interior. As well as a white centre console the leather wrapped steering wheel, gear gaiter and the edges of the leather seats all feature white stitching, while the seats themselves have a double layer fabric with a white background colour visible through the perforated leather facing.
