Immunity System: What to Avoid to Improve Immunity

Immunity system is essential part in our body to ward off diseases and infection. Weakened immunity system will deteriorate body system as a whole. Such diseases as flu or infection may attack you easily. To maintain immunity system in the body you should avoid the following bad habits:

  • SMOKING

Smoking will not only cause lung cancer but also weaken your immunity system. Cigarette smoking contains thousands of dangerous poisons which will deteriorate immunity cells and its function.  This is why smoking is susceptible to breathing disorders like asthma, bronchitis and even pneumonia.  If you want to have strengthened immunity system, and you are a smoker, you’d be better off quitting it.

  • ALCOHOL

A research has found that effect of excessive alcohol consumption would destroy antibody needed to ward off virus-infected cells. Like smokers, those alcohol addicts would be more likely to suffer from serious infection and a disease like tuberculosis.

  • LACK OF SLEEP

Having enough sleep will ensure strengthened immunity system. By the time you are sleepy, the body will restore and refill energy, including improve your immunity. If you limit your sleeping time from day to day, you will more likely to be prone to infection and seriously worsening health condition such as coronary disease, hypertension, diabetes and obesity.

  • LACK OF PHYSICAL EXERCISE

Watch out! If you have no time for physical exercise you will allow your immunity system to weaken and raise the risk of having infection and disease. A research has shown that regular work out helps improve immunity system because white blood cell increases due to exercising. However, do not exercise too much as this will also worsen your fitness. Allow time to have your body to recover from an exercise. 3 or 4 times a week will do you fine.

  • STRESS

Stress will cause seriously bad health. Stress, like smoking, will weaken immunity system. High level of stress will make hormonal imbalance in the body, destroy immunity system function, which will influence how body cures wound and even it will result in more seriously deteriorating health condition.

  • NOT ENOUGH FRESH WATER TO DRINK

Water is wonderful liquid that can help overall body function, including immunity system. Water that we drink will wash off dangerous poisons in the body. Drinking enough fresh water will allow immunity system to rest and take over immunity function.

  • NOT CLEAN ENOUGH

Make sure you are also clean enough. Being clean will not directly influence your immunity system but at least it will prevent any infection, germ and bacteria from entering your body.

  • OBESITY

A research has proved that obesity will weaken immunity system. Further research is needed to find out relationship between obesity and heightened risk of infection due to weakening immunity system.

  • TOO LONG BEING IN THE SUN

Sunlight is important but too much exposed to sunlight will burn your skin as well as deteriorate immunity system. Research has shown relationship between UV radiation and damage to immunity system.
