For starters, losing weight is always about burning more calories than you eat. For some, they always say you are what you eat. Make sense? Simple at it is said that, “Losing weight is always about burning more calories than you eat”. But how to actually motivate ownself to keep going on till achieve the dream of having ideal weight? To be fit and healthy?

First of all, you need to make a PLAN.

Planning ahead is always important. Why do you want to lose weight? What is your goal? If people too often take drastic measures results to lose weight fast. They would go with crazy diet with days without eating or even participate in crazy workout program. That will not work! You will gain it all back in time or worst more! Therefore, settle yourself with both short term and long term plan. With a proper planning, you will be able to lose weight appropriately and besides, it will keep you motivated to the pounds of weight that you always wanted to lose hence leading to  a healthy lifestyle.

Secondly, you need to UNDERSTAND.

Why do you want to lose weight? Make a list of disadvantage of being obese or overweight. You would not want to be in that category. This will give you the motivation to lose weight instead of gaining more. Gaining more weight will lead to more troubles. These troubles can be difficulty in finding your clothes or worst it might risk you into certain diseases or health problems. Therefore, life a healthy life. When we are physically fit, we are able to enjoy all sorts of activities without any worries.

Thirdly, you need to make a ROUTINE.

For example, early morning, it is the best time to start your routine then you would be able to get tired during the rest of your day. It helps to speed up your metabolism rate. Also, do not forget to eat breakfast. Eat regularly and on time. Break into small meals. Most important, do not consume a one large meal at a time. Try eating smaller portion, and then you feel less hungry and carving all the time when you eat one large meal at a time. You can also find a partner and make a routine to exercise together. This will motivate yourself and your partner to lose weight.

Fourthly, you need to keep TRACK.

It is always good to educate yourself on how much calories you have ate. It will not only educate you but also as an information that will lead to healthy lifestyle. Now you learn that what to avoid, what to eat is good. You will have more self-conscious that will not help you to gain the extra weight.  For example, in a week, keep track your calories or use a food journal to write down what you eat and drink each day. Review it by the end of the week so that you will study how your lifestyle is and change it. This will generally give you the idea how much eat at each day.
