There’s some information about virtual wifi. It’s a new function in windows 7 which allows you to share you internet directly through your laptop or even from your personal computer if its capable.
The first thing you should do is right click my computer and go to Manage. Then you select the device manager and open the networc adapters. If you have a wireless network adapter – voila you can continue with the next steps. Otherwise try updating your drivers until it shows up. Most laptops should have one (mine is Atheros).
Now that we’re happy about the fact we can actually do this, its time to do it:
Open the star menu and write “cmd” (without the quotation marks) and open it as administrator. It shoild say C:\blahblah\blahblahblah add this “netsh wlan set hostednetwork mode=allow ssid=fero” you can change “fero” to whatever you want – that’s the name of your network (although stick to letters only, since I’m not sure how exactly names work). Press enter and a message should appear that ”hostednetwork is now set to allow”. Now you write “netsh wlan set hostednetwork mode=allow key=ferotakis” you can change the key but it should be at least eight letters. You’re done. Press the red X on top of the window (or write exit).
Now that you’ve set up your router it’s time to make it work. That’s how we do it. Go to your networc connections from the control panel and click change adapter settings. Now you right click on your internet adapter and go to properties. And tick “allow other users to use this internet(or something like that)”. When you’re doing this you should disconnect your internet so Windows can apply the changes.
Now that we’ve set up everything we need to make on and off button.
Open notepad and write this: netsh wlan start hostednetwork
Save the new document somewhere on the desctop as “wifion.bat” and change .txt to “all files”
Now make a new document with this content: netsh wlan stop hostednetwork
Save it as “wifioff.bat” and again as all files.
These are your on and off buttons.
Now you restart your machine and enjoy the wi fi on your smartphone.
