This is even better than Devil Wears Prada!
With more established moral lessons on every episode (although they still lack exposure of the Marc Jacobs, Jimmy Choo, Balenciaga, Louis Vuitton, Prada, Gucci, etc.)… Either way, its still a feast in the eye for all of us fashionistas! A hefty serving of bad attitude, but in the end, good hearts still always prevail. And it can’t get any better than that.
It’s lke a cinderella story, only that cinderella is in the fashion industry! This series shows everyone that its not just about beauty, but sometimes, having a really witty brain is all that matters. I love the series because Betty always, always is able to resolve her cases. And to add to that, her reliable boss is always trusting, which makes it all easy for her. This is the difference from the Columbian telenovela. Her boss is not her love interest. Maybe not yet, I do not know where the american version will take Daniel and Betty’s relationship. Meanwhile, the show is all the more exciting because of the “evil” characters in the show. My favorite is actually Wilhelmina Slater! She is just so evil! But in a funny way. And in some episodes, she’s really not that all evil. There are also characters in the likes of Mark and the sexy receptionist Amanda who adds spice to this comedy show! Every character helps out in building an entirely different version of Ugly Betty. All in all, it is a very good series to watch out for.
