The Power of Prayer

Christians Devine Resource to Our Father,

The Son and the Holy Spirit

Many people pray everyday, for many different reasons. How many thank our Father when aren’t going so good? Not many I bet. Your Prayers probably are more about I need help, why is this happening to me?, Help me Lord, I need money…. Does this sound familiar? No need to be ashamed, if it does alot of people are guilty of even me. We should always thank God, for everything even the bad things we are going through. Now you are thinking, that is crazy. Well, God has a plan for us, and sometimes when things seem to be bad for us, God is always paving the road for better rewards.

Example: A man is shipwrecked on a island with nothing and no one. He takes what he can from he wrecked ship and puts in a pile together. Builds a so called shelter, puts the few things that he salvaged under it. He leaves his camp to check out the island in hopes of finding food. As he gets a good distance away he notices dark smoke rising from his camp, he runs back and sees everything burning. How do you think he felt? Think he asked Why this is happening to him? I am sure that he did. As he was praying to God, he hears the steps of someone he turns and there is a man standing there. He said to him I seen your smoke signals and came to help you. Now I know thousands have heard this story, but God allowed his things to burn to save him from being deserted. See God had a bigger plan for him. What a great God.

Sometimes, we endure things that we don’t like, but remember God always has a better and bigger plan for us. We may not always understand or even like what we are going through. I know how that feels, but trust in the lord and he will deliver us.

The Bible tells us to pray to our Father, he likes it when his children come to him, it shows our obedience to him. Pray with no doubt in your heart,

1Ti 2:8 I will therefore that men pray every where, lifting up holy hands, without wrath [violent passion]and doubting For he will know.

Be honest, ask for strength, understanding, and wisdom. Pour your heart out to God, he hears you, and will answer you. It may not be what you want, but remember God knows what is best for us.

Phi 4:6

Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.

Luk 21:36 Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man

Mar 14:38 Watch ye and pray, lest ye enter into temptation. The spirit truly is ready, but the flesh is weak.

Prayer is our defense against temptation, weariness, and worry. We cannot find any spiritual strength in the flesh, but we will find the power of God,the Son and the Holy Spirit in prayer.

Pro 8:34 Blessed is the man that heareth me, watching daily at my gates, waiting at the posts of my doors.

2Co 2:14 Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in every place.

Psa 62:8 Trust in him at all times; ye people, pour out your heart before him: God is a refuge for us. Selah.

God is our Salvation he loves us so much that he gave he son for us. The blood of Jesus washes away our sins, God understand that we live in the flesh and needs help with temptation, that is why we pray to our Father. He knows that we are needy people and he provides for us if we let him. Turning ourselves over to him and accepting Jesus Christ as our Saviour.

Prayer is a powerful tool, to get to The Father, The Son and the Holy Spirit. It brings us closer to him. It teaches us Faith, Trust and Love for Christ.
