This article is part of a series on modding your Wii/Running Homebrew. If you like this article you should check out the table of contents here.

Is your Homebrew not working for you?  Are Nintendo’s updates stopping you from running the things that you want to on the Wii.  Well don’t worry because I have the soloution to your problems

First things first you must install the Homebrew Channel if you have not already.  You can learn how to here.

Now, on to the actual procedure.

Step 1: Download this file. Extract it and it will have all of the stuff that you will need.

Step 2: Extract all of the rars found in Apps.rar four files and place them in the Apps folder of your SD card.  Extract the WADs from the WADS.rar and place them in a directory in the root of your SD card  called “WAD”.

Step 3: From the Homebrew Channel run the WAD Manager.  Use it to install IOS16-64-v257-prod.wad.

Step 4: Load Custom WM in the Homebrew Channel and use it to install cios_fix.wad.

Step 5: Load cIOS downgrader in the Homebrew Channel and select version 3.2 for your appropriate reigon.

Now all you have to do is wait for it to install and then you are done.  Congratulations you have just sucessfully downgraded the Wii’s firmware to version 3.2, the optimal version.

The next logical step would be to install starfall, and if you are interested you can read a guide on how to do so here.
