Poem: Followed By The Sun Or Son

There was once a girl who sought after love

Her very soul had the wings of a dove

A lesson learned from shame in stealth

Declined all desires of fame and wealth

The sun began to follow her stride

Like a bright, looming shadow of light un-denied

Was it a gift or a curse via pride?

Eventually, that celestial body notified

Grace and mercy followed this shining,

Leaving alone all thoughts towards pining

With the dangers of ultraviolet rays in tow,

This light never harmed or any nuisance bestow

She dared to look at this brightness as ordinary

But everyone else had no beneficiary

One final day came when an epiphany erupted

The clutches of sin found her soul corrupted

A symbol or blatant idea had arisen

Like a solemn truth unlocked from a prison

The Son was the Person who had followed her all along

His Love was divine and never wrong

He was Lord of her life with blessings to amaze

While all the others just wondered with a gaze

She was finally convinced to tell others of her plight

Not out of pity, neither fright

Be true to Him and He shall return the favor

With a tangible, spiritual meal to savor

If peace and tranquility are all one acquires,

Then passion may abound with consuming fires

All that is ever wanted in a dream and beyond

Comes from a Trinity of which all humans are fond

Closing:  I pray that each and every reader of this poem (male or female) will consider and reflect upon Christ’s unconditional love for all humanity.  God bless!!
