Since the Temptations of the holiday cooking have passed, now is the time to stop stuffing our faces and start losing all the pounds we have put on, the dreaded belly fat. I put together a couple of steps on how to do it.

1-Replace all the sugar in your diet with splenda or other low calorie substitutes

2-eat smaller portions, eat more fruits and vegetables

3-Don’t skip breakfast

4-Don’t starve your self, it will slow down your metabolism, develop better eating habbits

5-Don’t eat after 8 pm.

6- Drink at least 8 glasses or 64 ounces of water every day

7-Workout a minimum of 30 minutes each and every day

as simple as it sounds, it does take some discipline and support from friends and family. If you are able to stick to the plan you will feel the pounds melt away.

First and Foremost I would like to mention that pounds are lost in the kitchen no the gym. If you continue to eat the calorie laden food as usual and work out you will just slow down the weight gain not lose weight. Eating right Plus exercise is how you lose weight.

The number one Culprit for adding and keeping body fat on is sugar. There are several sugar substitutes such as splenda or stevia blend, that taste exactly like sugar but without calories or carbohydrates. you can replace your favorite sports drink for a diet powerade zero.

Carbohydrates is something you should keep track of in your diet. Your body burns off carbohydrates for energy. Carbohydrates that you don’t burn through activity or exercise are stored as body fat. Eating after 8 pm is bad for you because the carbohydrates you just consumed will not go to use so they will be stored as fat overnight.

We are all used to the classical three heavy meals a day system, its practical but its not very healthy. Eating small meals throughout the day paces your body and keeps your metabolism going, which means you will have less unused calories and carbs to be turned into fat. You should eat small meals every 2 or 3 hours, you should have 5 or 6 small meals instead of three large meals. You should not skip Breakfast though, eating breakfast is important because it provides you with your initial boost of energy for the day.

Drinking at least 8 glasses of water a day is important because it keeps you full. Not only is it good for weight loss it also does miracles for your skin and over all look. Most of your cravings are actually cravings for water not food, but your brain has a hard time distinguishing. also Your going to need all that water if you plan on doing 30 minutes of exercise a day. Exercising is a vital part of trying lose weight, because you need to get rid of the calories you took in for the day as well as calories that are stored in the form of belly fat.

Losing weight is all about controlling what you eat and working off the calories you have stored in your body it just takes discipline. Your motto should be “I CAN DO IT.”
