Tasty And Spicy Chicken 65

Anyone who hears the name Chicken 65 thinks that this recipe is made with 65 spices! On the contrary, it is much more easier than the other chicken recipes as there is no need of onion or the regular spices. You can add them in the recipe but they are optional. There are many ready made chicken 65 powder available in the Indian grocery stores.

Ingredients

·         Chicken boneless 1 lbs (cleaned properly)

·         Salt as per taste

·         Egg white 2

·         Curry leaves 2- 3

·         coriander powder 1 tsp (optional)

·         Turmeric powder 1 tsp (optional)

·         pepper as per taste

·         Oil for deep frying

·         curry masala 1/ 2 tsp (optional) (availble at any Indian grocery market)

·         Yogurt 1 tsp

·         All purpose flour 3 tsp

·         Black pepper powder 1/ 2 tsp

·         Food Color (optional)

·         Ginger garlic paste 1 tsp

·         Butter milk 1/ 2 cup (optional)

·         Red chili powder as per taste

Preparation

·         Marinate the chicken pieces properly with egg white, red pepper powder, all purpose flour, turmeric powder, coriander powder, curry powder, black pepper powder and salt and leave it for an hour.

·         Deep fry the marinated chicken. Fry it only for 2 -5 minutes. Keep aside the fried chicken.

·         Heat oil in a pan say 1 tsp.

·         When the oil is hot, add curry leaves and ginger garlic paste and fry it for 2 minutes or till it is golden brown at low flame. Add pepper and mix well.

·         Put yogurt in a bowl and beat it well with a spoon an then add it to the pan and mix well.

·         Let the mixture cook for 2 minutes in medium flame and then add butter milk and stir well.

·         Add salt, mix and the food color and stir well.

·         Let it boil for 5 minutes atleast in medium flame, keep stirring in between so that it does not burn.

·         Add the marinated chicken pieces kept aside. Mix well.

·         Mix till the liquid gets dry. This usually takes 5- 10 minutes.

·         After 10 minutes, switch off the gas and serve the dish hot.

·         You can garnish this recipe with small chopped pieces of onion, cilantro and tomatoes sliced in small pieces. This step however is optional. You can even sprinkle little lime juice over the dish.
