A Laughing Facebook

Facebook has now become
My duvet
Amidst heavy eyes
and large yawns
Far above the Statue of Liberty
I still crave for my Facebook

Facebook addicts
Are we wanted by the police?
Just like the hardened criminals
On the wanted list?

Oh Facebook!
How wondrous is your name
Indeed my face in a book

Amidst long distances
You make friends as neighbours
Greetings exchange
As they are next to me

Facebook knows no boundary
From the dark corners of Kojokrom
to the high streets of New York
It makes its presence felt

A laughing Facebook
I love you

Make Me Know

Make me know how much there is to know
Make me know how little I do know
Make me know how little I need to know
Make me know how little I am known
Make me know that I am nothing to know

Make me know how much there is to do
Make me know how little I have done
Make me know how little  is expected of me
Make me know how little I can do
Make me know that by myself I can do anything

Make me know  how much there is to say
Make me know  how little there is that needs saying
Make me know how much harm I have
Saying that which needs not to be said
Make me know how much there is to feel
Make me know how little I have felt
Make me know how little  I am capable of feeling
Make me know that all has  been been felt for me

Make me know how much serving there is to do
Make me know how little I had served
Make me know how much there is to forgive
Make me know how little i have forgiven

MY MAKER,
Make me know the good things this world has for me
on my 20th birthday tomorrow

I thank you LORD for keeping me alive.

I THANK YOU GOD

I thank you God for creating me Black
For making of me porter of all sorrows
Setting on my head
The World.
I wear the centaur’s hide
And I carried the World since the first evening.

White is a colour for special occasions
Black, the colour for everyday
And I have carried the world since the first evening

I am glad with the shape of my head
Made to carry the world
CONTENT.
With the shape of nose
That must snuff every wind of the world
PLEASED.
With the shape of my legs
Ready to run all the heats of the World

I thank you God for creating me BLACK
For making of me
Porter of all sorrows

For life is worth-living

Beauty sceneries
Right from the corners of Kumasi
to the unknown Kalahari  Deserts.
Where amidst large heat and severe sunshine,
Life is supported.

I thank you God.
