Acer Iconia Tab A100 (16 GB)
Good: 7-inch Acer Iconia Tab A100 offers a complete honeycomb and its price is lower than some of the best 7-inch tablets out there. HDMI-out, lock hardware on display, and memory extensions are welcome extras.
Bad: tablet-screen viewing angle is narrow, and the battery drains quickly. You can also get a 10-inch tablet under $ 100 more.
The bottom line: Acer Iconia Tab A100 offers a complete experience honeycomb on a 7-inch tablet, but the fact that more Honeycomb tablet is less than $ 100 mouse away the case.
One of the first 7-inch Honeycomb tablets, the Acer Iconia Tab A100 trying to make the case for the vitality of the 7-inchers, but the fact that a bar of options are under a hundred dollars from the reduction of its charm ?
From the purely aesthetic, Acer Iconia Tab A100 looks a bit like the A500, we reviewed a few months ago. Its sloping edges to the location of the front camera and implementation of SD card, it is clear that the apple never falls far from the tree. But because of the small form factor, the A100 has to do with micro-versions of ports instead of size versions included on the A500.
On the lower edge of the tablet is most of its ports, including a recessed reset button, micro HDMI, micro-USB port power adapter and a port for connection to an accessory to Home. On the opposite side, from left to right is the headphone jack, power button / screen locking, and a hole of the microphone. At the top are volume rockers, lock button (which keeps the screen to turn) and a room that opens to reveal the microSD card slot. The left front bezel hosts 2 megapixel camera with a button-like iPad Home Hardware on the right side of the frame. On the back near the top is a 5 megapixel camera with flash.
Acer Iconia Tab A100 sports a piano black glossy screen and bezel that attracts fingerprints like a scene from “CSI” crime. The rear panel is gray with silver Acer logo embossed in the middle and models of some of the things Turbulence cable a little style.
Although it weighs only 0.88 kg, the Acer Iconia Tab A100 feels very important in our hands. Its proportions are equal with the other 7-inch tablet, but instead of writing a lot of boring text on the dimensions, I hit the place together a table showing how well documented the A100 measures compare the remaining 7 Popular – inch tablet with a tablet of 8.9 inches thrown in for good measure:
