Could you do me a small favor? All I ask you in return is a fair hearing- just five minutes of you time to read this article. With  which will change your life beyond measures. In all honesty, this very same article is written for you-the untold legions of men and women who are forever trying to fit yourselves into statistical norms for some mythical average person. Who is taller, shorter, fatter, skinner, less or more active than you will ever be. This article with the tactics built in is really a guide to healthy living for individuals, not statistics. Wherever feasible, I have given personal advice, for this, I believe is the only way to lead anyone to optimal health, which is the purpose of this article.

Enough of long intro at least for now. Without further ado, let’s dive into the first emotional tactics that can make or break your weight loss quest.

Emotionaltactics No.1 Self-Negation.

Make no mistake. Avoidance and denial are the ways in which your obese self says “no” to your desire for thinness. For example, when you look in your-minor or at the numbers on a body-weight scale or the items [recorded in your food log, all of which remind you of your      choice for thinness, your Fat Self tries to negate what      your eyes see, and also negates the fact that you do have      a choice in what you eat, how you look to yourself and      others, and how you feel about yourself and food.

Questions? If ‘no’ let walk over to emotional tactic number two. Right?

Emotionaltactics No. 2.Self-indulgence.

Seriously and jokes aside. The lurking ideas of the Overeating Self give the false impression that it’s alright to be out-of-control occasionally.  Once in a while, you should have a self-indulgent food experiences. Believe me, this is another way in which your Fat Self urges you to eat whatever you want whenever you want it. Such experiences are your Fat Self’s way of saying “yes” to itself regardless of the consequences to your physical and emotional well-being. For example, when you are   physically and/or emotionally exhausted and plan to head for a hot, soothing bath, or quiet time in your favorite chair with your pet or listening to music, all of  which are healthy releases for you and your body, your Fat Self demands hysterically or whispers subtly in your  ear, “Eat, you’ll feel better.” Get the picture?

Next up!

Emotional tactics No.3. Impatience.

Those who know me better would know that I am a patient person at heart. But  in truth, your Fat Self  and mine also likes to do everything that relates to food as though there is no tomorrow. It may prompt you to eat every meal as the last meal, or to hurry through this program so that you can get back to   “normal.” For example, while your attentions are focused on losing weight, there is that thought at the back of your mind urging you to do it fast. Regardless of how quickly you lose weight, it never seems fast enough.  The statement is obvious, isn’t it?

By the way, I have only peeled back the first few layers of this tactics but if you really want to get the naked truth we have to be more personal! No objections I assume? Then let’s move along to tactics number four!

Emotional tactics No.  4. Self-Affirmation.

Arbitrary doing the right thing 80% of the time bring back law and order in our bodies instead of doing the wrong stuff all the time. Therefore with determined mind we have to do the right thing most of the time. So, actively say “yes” to your decision to   live thin, especially in response to your Fat Self’s attempts to negate that decision and negate you in the process. Earth shaking truth?  A big ‘Yes’, if you ask me!

Next! No matter how you argue or try to justify this last tactics common sense dedicates the practicality of these few words which you are about to read.

Emotional tactics No. 5.  Self-Discipline.

In my humble opinion, a more realistic view of this tactic is to just actively say “no” to your desire to over- eat. And with the same firm tone of voice a parent uses to prevent an, out-of-control child from doing something harmful to himself.  For the married couple, this may seems harsh treatment but the truth is inescapable. Believe it or not, time will tell!

For me, turning the above characteristics into specific personal diet tactics involved two things: first, observing my obese instructions for keeping me overweight after I made the decision to live thin and then consciously reversing these resistance instructions

So to sum up what I have just said I highly recommend that you read and re-read this paragraph. In a nutshell, the tactics can nicely state as firstly the ideas of self-negation. Secondly, the question of self-indulgence.  Thirdly, the destructive words associated with impatience. Fourthly, the idea of self-affirmation. And finally, the finer points of self-discipline.  Easy to remember? You can bet your last dollar on this!

In conclusion, I would like to quote Confucius’  saying, ‘The Journey of a thousand miles begin with the first step’ Now that you have read up to this line, be encouraged that the miracle actually began when you downloaded this article. When you almost finished reading through the contents. Read and understand the real reasons why you eat the way you do.  And when you learn that you can fit this tips and hints into any lifestyle. In any time zone. In any social stratum. The miracle will be visible within those first few days when you begin to feel better than you ever have in your life. You can bet your life on this miracle! Trust me I have travelled this rugged path myself. And I know how hard it was but not unconquerable! Period!
