Katsuhiro Sekine, a 21-year-old unemployed man from Hitachi robbed a convenience store armed with a knife.Toshiyuki Otsu, the store owner was forced to hand Sekine 10,800 yen in cash but he was very much surprised when Sekine told him to call the police. Otsu did as commanded and when the police officers arrived, Sekinewas still there willing to surrender himself to the authorities.

Seattle, USA

A man plotted to siphon gasoline from a parked motorhome but made a big mistake when he haven’t noticed that the hose was plugged on the sewage tank instead of the gasoline tank. When the police arrived at the scene, they found the man curled up next to the motorhome, ill with spilled sewage scattered around. The owner of the motorhome just laughed at the man’s stupid attempt on burglary, declining to press any charges.

Oakland, California

Police officers were on watch on a house for about two hours, trying to subdue a gunman who they believed had barricaded himself inside his house. The officers fired almost a dozen tear gas canisters only to find that the man they are forcing out of the house is actually standing beside them all along mockingly shouting towards his empty house: “Please come out and give yourself up!”

Penrith, Australia

A group had an ingenious scheme in robbing service stations. They would use a truck to ram the automated teller machine and pull it out using a chain with the other end attached to the truck. The machine is then dragged behind the truck as the group escapes. But the friction between the machine and the road caused great heat that the money inside the machine was caught on fire.

The police found the truck after following the gouge mark made by the machine along the road but the robbers had already escaped, leaving their smoldered loot behind.

Louisiana, USA

A man put a $20 bill on the counter of a Circle-K and asked the clerk for change. As the clerk was opening the cash drawer, the man drew out a gun and demanded to clerk to give him all the money in the drawer. The clerk did not hesitate and gave all the cash. As the man fled from the scene, he leaved the $20 bill on the counter only to trade it with $15 that he took effort to rob.

Casper, Wyoming

A police officer became suspicious of David James Palmer’s behavior as he hung around in front of Kelly Walsh High School. The police officer scrutinized the 16-year-old drop-out and found packets of cannabis that can sum up to an ounce. But maybe out of desperation or panic Palmer said a statement that only made him appear guilty: “It’s not mine, I’m just selling it!”
