Adiponectin is a hormone secreted from the white adipose tissue. And this hormone is able to counter diabetes and obesity. When the body weight increases, the blood levels of adiponectin fall. These actions are achieved through the influences on the carbohydrate and fat metabolism.

This protects the heart.

Fiber Increases Adiponectin

Thus, when you consume more vegetables and fruits, you get both fiber and magnesium both which support increase in adiponectin.
