The Green Bay Packers have showed up in the Super Bowl 5 times in franchise history and won four of them. The franchise has 4 Super Bowl championships, being victorious in each of the 1st two games involving the NFL and the AFL just before having a third title after the 1996 season. On Feb. 6, 2011, the Packers gained their particular 4th title by beating the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Here is a recap of every of the Packers Super Bowl Win History performances.

1.Super Bowl I – January 15, 1967, Memorial Coliseum, Los Angles, CA. Green Bay Packers 35 Kansas City Chiefs 10. 

The first Super Bowl pit’s the NFL Champion Green Bay Packers vs. the AFL Champion Kansas City Chiefs and is official referred to as the AFL-NFL Championship game. 

The game that is currently called Super Bowl was not known as such while it took place. It was solely the AFL-NFL Championship Game. Even though Kansas City Chiefs owner Lamar Hunt unofficially called the game the Super Bowl during the talks guiding to the game, it wouldn’t be until Super Bowl III that the game was hyped beneath that name. Hunt claimed the name was inspired by a game his children played in the driveway using a toy called the Superball.

The NFL delivered the Green Bay Packers as a representative. The Green Bay Packers had just collected their 4th NFL title in the 60’s, cementing Green Bay’s distinction as Titletown. They were guided by head coach Vince Lombardi, whom the Super Bowl Award would eventually be called for. Bart Starr was the quarterback, whilst the offense and defense had a quantity of football stars: Jim Taylor, Paul Hornung, Forrest Greg, Herb Adderly, Willie Wood and Ray Nitschke.

The Chiefs amazed most watchers by holding their own in the first half, and the game was 14-10 in the Packers benefit at halftime. The Green Bay Packers arrived to the game after a thin victory over the Dallas Cowboys in the NFL Championship Game. This was the memorable Ice Bowl game, the place the Packers gained on a late touchdown in one of the coldest games in NFL history. Subsequently, the Packers had gained their 5th NFL title of the 10 years and were the weighty favorite to the win the second Superbowl.

Their rival was the AFL’s Oakland Raiders. Similar to the Chiefs the year prior to them, the Raiders had been the AFL’s top scoring team. The Raiders stars were men like Daryle Lamonica, Jim Otto, Gene Upshaw, Fred Biletnikoff, Billy Cannon, Pete Banaszak and Ben Davidson.

The Packers access the game as 33 point favorites and simply get their 2nd continuous Super Bowl title behind quarterback Bart Star who threw for 202 yards and one touchdown to gain his second instantly Super Bowl MVP. 3.Super Bowl XXXI – January 26, 1997, Louisiana Superdome, New Orleans, LA. Green Bay Packers 35 New England Patriots 21. 

The Packers went back to the Super Bowl the very first time since Super Bowl II and accessed the game as 14 point favorites. In a game known for big plays Packers quarterback Brett Favre threw two touchdown passes, one for 54 yards and one for 81 yards. Most deemed they would face the Dallas Cowboys in the title game, but as a substitute faced the upstart Carolina Panthers when the Panthers beaten the Cowboys in the 2nd round of the playoffs. Brett Favre received the scoring started early and the Green Bay Packers saved a healthful distance between them and the Patriots all over the game, even with a shootout of a game. Reggie White logged 3 sacks of Drew Bledsoe. Desmond Howard had 244 all-purpose yards and a touchdown, totally on kick and punt returns.

4.Superbowl XLV- February 6, 2011, Cowboys Stadium, Arlington, Texas. Green Bay Packers 31 Pittsburgh Steelers 25. 

The Green Bay Packers stated the Super Bowl XLV title right after hitting the Pittsburgh Steelers 31 to 25. The Packers held the guide for the entire game, thanks to a dominating defense action from players like Clay Mathews and Nick Collins.
