1. You will need a good image editing program.
You have to start somewhere, and it all begins with your graphics program. There are some very advanced ones available, but they are not necessary. If you have absolutely no skills in graphics design and want a professional looking cover, this is your only option. Even if you do have the skills to make a decent looking cover, you still may want to consider paying someone to do it for you as the results are outstanding and very professional looking.
