World Laughter Day is celebrated on the first Sunday in May. It was first arranged by Dr. Madan Kataria on January 11, 1998, in Mumbai, India. Dr. Kataria gives the name Laughter yoga as he incorporated Pranayama, a kind of yogic breathing into laughter exercises to influence body, mind as well as soul.
