Perry’s Italian Grill is an Italian restaurant in the Clearlake, a city, which is south of Houston, and it has been voted the second best Italian restaurant in the area by channel 11, and that is not a bad accomplishment at all. The décor of the venue is big and bold with their red and yellow gold colors, plus they have a nice bar area and different rooms like the wine room or the banquet room, which are great for events either private or company sponsored.
The restaurant is located at 1001 Pineloch and their hours of operations are from Monday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., Friday 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., Saturday from 4:00 p.m. 10:00 p.m. and it stays closed on Sunday.
For their appetizers you can go with the signature arancini which are rice balls stuffed with a homemade tomato basil meat sauce and Parmesan cheese, or the seafood stuffed mushrooms which can be either fried or broiled and stuffed with crabmeat, shrimp and vegetables or even a simple small Margherita pizza.
While for their pasta selections go with the tomato basil which are capellini pasta in a fresh tomato sauce and topped with a generous portion of beef tenderloin, or the pasta Perry which are fettuccini with an Alfredo sauce with peas, prosciutto and mushrooms topped with Parmesan cheese and if you like some spice go with the penne arrabbiata which come in a tomato sauce, garlic, pancetta and crushed chilis and this version you also have grilled shrimp.
For their second entrées go with the snapper almondine which comes with toasted almonds and crabmeat and rosemary potatoes, or the filet gorgonzola which is an eight ounce filet mignon topped with melted gorgonzola cheese in an Italian Merlot sauce, or try the bistecca rosmarino which is a ten ounce rib eye steak with fresh rosemary and lemon zest served with rosemary potatoes and sautéed spinach. And to finish off go with their nutty d’Angelo dessert which is two scoops of vanilla bean ice cream rolled in roasted almond slivers and drizzled with white chocolate and then topped with a butter pecan base praline sauce, or the strawberry kiss which are four strawberries dipped in a dark and white Belgian chocolate.
The venue gets an A for service as it is always excellent and a B+ for food and the tomato basil really tastes fresh and homemade.
