Could Casey Anthony Be Innocent of The Murder of Her Little Girl Caylee Anthony?

The trial of Casey Anthony has been going on for longer than three weeks now. If I had been chosen for the jury, they would have kicked me out because I believed Casey Anthony was guilty of murdering her 3-year-old daughter Caylee Anthony. After watching the trial on Bay News 9 for almost a month, I’m not sure she is guilty of murder.

The prosecution has showed us tons of circumstantial evidence trying to prove that Casey Anthony murdered her little girl Caylee Anthony. Casey Anthony lied to her family for months, she lied to the police, she did not report her child missing, etc. etc. The damning evidence seems to be the smell in the trunk of her car, proving a dead body was in the trunk. There is also circumstantial evidence that Casey Anthony was searching for information about chloroform on her computer and this was used in the possible murder of her daughter.

“Anthony told investigators that she had left 2-year-old Caylee on June 16 with a babysitter named Zenaida Fernandez-Gonzalez – also known as “Zanny” – at a specific Orlando apartment complex. A woman named Zenaida Gonzalez who was on the apartment records as having visited apartments on that date was questioned by police and said she did not know Casey or Caylee” (Wiki)

The problem I see with the evidence is it is all circumstantial. The smell of death in her car has not proven to be a dead person because the DNA samples could not prove the source to be dead or alive. This really is bad news for the prosecution.

What we know is Casey Anthony is a liar. Casey Anthony was not a good mother to her little girl Caylee Anthony. I’m not sure if we will ever know what really happened to Caylee Anthony. The prosecution brought up a ton of circumstantial evidence against Casey Anthony which I am not sure proves she killed her little girl. I don’t believe there is enough evidence to give Casey Anthony the death penalty.

Now the defense has a chance to tear the circumstantial evidence apart. They will try to prove that Casey Anthony is not a murderer and does not deserve the death penalty. They will try to prove that Casey Anthony lied because she was afraid and her father abused her. They will try to prove that Casey Anthony died because of an accidental drowning.

Casey Anthony may or may not receive the death penalty for the death of her daughter Caylee Anthony. Her parents do not want her to receive the death penalty, they just want to know the truth about what happened to their grand-daughter Caylee Anthony. The question we have to ask ourselves is Casey Anthony guilty of murder or of just being a horrible parent. Either way, she should go to jail for a long time for her part in the death of her child.
