Panoxyl acne gel
Active ingredient found in Panoxyl acne gel is Benzoyl peroxide which belongs to Keratolytic group of medicines. Panoxyl acne gel functions by breaking down Keratin (protein which is the part of the skin structure).
Application of Panoxyl acne gel on the infected area breaks down the top layer of the skin cells and shed. The sebaceous glands are unblocked which helps in breaks down of blackheads and whiteheads. Reformation of whiteheads and blackheads are also prevented with continuous use of Panoxyl acne gel.
Benzoyl Peroxide has an antibacterial property which kills the bacteria directly on the skin. It also diminishes their growth by reduction in the production of sebum by the sebaceous glands.
Uses of Panoxyl acne gel
It is basically used for treatment of acnes. It should be used for external purpose only.
Benzoyl peroxide is for external use only. Avoid contact with eyes, lips, mouth and inside of the nose. On contact with eyes, mouth, lips or inner nose wash thoroughly with water.
After applying Panoxyl acne gel wash your hand with an antiseptic solution. If on using Panoxyl acne gel you experience any kind of redness or peeling of the skin, decrease the amount of acne gel used and its frequency of use. If the problem becomes persistent, consult a doctor.
Benzoyl Peroxide on contact with air and fabrics may bleach it. Panoxyl acne gel contains propylene glycol which can cause skin rashes and skin inflammation.
In case you are sensitive to Benzoyl peroxide, avoid using Panoxyl acne gel.
